Are there any cars in the Ford Lineup that are at the top of your list to get?
I'm actually interested in both turbo engines of the Fiesta, the i3t and the i4t.
But what about that Mustang Ecoboost? The Mustang GT Performance Package? The Fiesta ST? The Fusion i4t AWD? The Fusion V6tt AWD?
If I was going to make the next one of these cars mine, where could I not go wrong?
Right now I'm looking at the fiestas most sincerely because financing could help me build my credit a bit more, and the i3t's miles per gallon is quite a lovely thing. But it leaves barely anything in the aftermarket for me to modify when I pay it off next year.

Focus RS
Mustang GT350
SHO
Fiesta ST looks like a fun little car that won't break the bank
>>15076345
I like the SFE Fiesta (the 1.0l ecoboost model), and love my ST. If the markup on the RS isn't awful in a few years I'll probably get one of those (depending on my garage space at the time).
I'll do my best to answer questions about the Fiesta ST if you have any.
>>15076370
What's the deal with the navigation option and why is it the first fucking option on every single one in the dealer inventory?
I can't find a base ST with just the recaros or another option, because the $750 navigation is the first one.
What gives?
I'm looking at buying a 2009 ford focus manual, is it any good? if not i've been thinking of an svt. It would be for a daily driver. I'm just a big focus fan. Other car suggestions would be cool, but i need some more advice on focus expertise.
>>15076272
They're good cars, and the coupes are the lightest of all first gen Focii.
Check out FSWerks. Pic related.

>>15076272
You could get a slightly newer manual Fiesta Hatch for about the same money and have 4 doors too.
I like 'em though, kinda wish they made the ST Focus Sedan/Coupe at some point.
>>15076315
>have 4 doors too.
They mad Focus sedans too tard.
any anons here from the peniscola area?
>>15076241
Did you try to time travel OP?
I JUST clicked on to /o/ and this is the first thread I see. Ive been here my entire life.
There is only one other anon I know that lives here and I've been coming here for nearly 6 years.
If you've seen this going down the road and it annoyed you with how loud it is, that was me.
I go to UWF.
Currently spending the summer in 'Bama though.
How do you guys grab your shifter?
Depends if she's being a little bitch or not
>>15076179
It really depends. If I'm just pulling from 1-2 or 3-4 I'll put my palm on top. If I'm going from like 3-2 or 5-4 I'll put my palm on the side to naturally push the shifter into position.
Idk, i dont really think about how exactly i shift. I just do
How do you feel about this car?
>>15076166
>crossover
>shitty modern car design
>no driving feel
>muh safety
it's shit.
>>15076166
Its the most mom car of all mom cars. The cheapest of new lifted minivans--I mean "CUVs". The only people who buy this car are morons who want a shiny new thing in their driveway to keep up with the neighbors and don't care that new kias plummet in value. People who know nothing about cars and want something big and high that makes them feel safe.
>>15076166
Looks like a Porsche Macan for poor people, do not want.
What's next in your mods pipeline, /o/?
For me, I think I'll get a tune first to unfuck the rev hang etc, then I'm probably looking into a sway bar upgrade. All stock right now.
>>15075979
My 79 camaro is putting out 425hp at the crank but it's hooked up to a three speed auto right now. I need to put in a tranny, drive shafts, and rear end that will actually let me use all that power
>has a WRX
>thinks chipping his car is a mod
>>15075979
Don't put on a front swaybar. The car might understeer more.
So I just got my first car. Pic related.
What steps do I need to take to convert it back to JDM? I want to make it faster and I know that will help. I've already picked out a few stuffed animals to use as drift charms, but as far as the engine and cosmetics go, I don't know where to start, and there isn't a community I can find to ask surprisingly.
>Bait: the thread.
>>15076043
>summer: the post
>>15076074
its that too
Looking at options to replace my daily, and I jokingly looked at cappuccinos while I was poking around.
They are well within my price range, and get great MPG. Plus I like everything about them despite being a self proclaimed heterosexual male.
It's like a miata but smaller, lighter, turbo, and it's not soft top so I don't have to worry about someone breaking into my car with a box knife.
I'm just not so sure it would be a great daily here in TX.
>>15075951
Where are you finding multiple cappuccinos in the US for sale?
>>15075973
import
not sure how I feel about a roadster since I'm used to a ff sedan
I'm also worried that the roof might eventually leak. Really indifferent about convertible b/c I'm not gay and probably will rarely ever remove the top.

I've just noticed that it'd be perfect, if those additional lights were shaped as stock ones. Someone post "HOLY SHIT I LOVE CORNERS"
Hey /o/ I need advice on some headlights. Basically I want to upgrade the headlights on my car, I currently own a 2006 Holden Barina TK Sedan. I've been told that it's essentially the same as the 2007 Chevy Aveo and I am currently looking at these headlights:
http://www.autolightpros.com/2007-chevy-aveo-black-headlights-2lhp-ave045jm-tm.html
I talked to the sales person via email and he said it's not recommended.
I came here to ask since you guys are experts. Is it okay to fit American products onto my car? It should be noted that my care is Right-Hand Drive and the Chevy is Left-Hand Drive.
Guess I'll post the cars for reference too.
2006 Holden Barina TK Sedan [My Car] (Right-Hand)
You'll have to aim the lights differently, which might be pretty inexpensive if you decide not to do it yourself. Otherwise you'll probably be fine if they really do fit.
2007 Chevy Aveo [What the headlights fit] (Left-Hand)
So will it fit /o/?
Will there ever be a time where internal combustion engines no longer need bump sticks?
>>15075634
yeah its called a dorito
>>15075638
Will there ever be a time where piston engines no longer need bump sticks?
>>15075638
There's this

And there's also that "No-Valve" thing Koenigsegg introduced a couple months back.
have you ever paid a girl to stand infront of your car and look sexy while you take photos?
>>15075261
do people actually do that?
No, because I'm not a try hard Asian that thinks too highly of his honda shitbox and is trying to make up for being a manlet
I can't afford to pay her tetanus shot incase she touches the car

is this a good deal? basically want a daily car that will last me a few years and is fun to drive.
commute to work is ~10 mins. in central valley cali so weather is non existant.
i know everyone here loves miatas but not sure the longevity of them.
i have ~5k to put down and fair credit, attempting to rebuild it
thats pretty expensive for an early nc
early nc's are so fucking ugly too.
>>15074523
whats an average price then? its got 60k on it, is that too much
where did you learn about cars?
my dad never taught me anything about them and moved away before i was 17, so i know how to fill my oil and gas and that's about it. i have an uncle who's a mechanic but he's always busy at work and doesn't have time to teach me everything. i'd really like to get into cars and get something fun i can work on, but it's really daunting when you have no experience.
Just get your hands dirty with some small projects and work your way up. That's what I'm doing with my car
Your uncle is a shit. He could let you watch and explain what he is doing with out much effort.
same OP
but my dad's just the kind of person who knows a lot, but doesn't like to get his hands dirty.
I've learned a fuckload with video tutorials and forums, you should give that a shot.
/o/ hasn't taught me jack shit.
I recently bought a 2002 infiniti i35 with a ridiculous amount of miles on it for 500 dollars because i found a vq35de engine for sale with 80k on it for 200 dollars. I figured for 700$ I'm not gonna turn my nose up at a moderately luxurious ride with 255 horsepower no matter what it is. After my ambitions and goal cleared up and I bought the car and engine I realized one little problem; I don't know how to replace a stock engine. Can anyone on here give me a crash course? A basic guide or link would be nice. quick few facts and questions aside from the basics though;
-i35 is mechanically a maxima
-fwd
- the new engine came with the torque converter still attached. should I use the one from the old engine or the new?
-will the engine be difficult to separate from the transmission, and if so should i pull just the engine out to replace it, or pull the engine with the transmission still connected and then replace the engine?
-what all should i replace or thoroughly clean when i pull it?
Any help would be really appreciated
>>15074311
I replaced an s10 clutch having never done anything more then entry level car work. I know it's not the same difficulty level, but once you start digging in it will become much more clear. I'd personally record you removing it and review when issues arise. Also, label the fuck out of connectors and tubing.
That has been about the extent of what I've read online as well. Label, take pictures, and record. The only part I'm really concerned with is when it comes to disconnecting and reconnecting it to the transmission, but I'd like as much knowledge as I can get beforehand. And I'm also hoping I don't accidentally drain my refrigerant or power steering fluid.
>>15074488
I think you're going to need to drain the refrigerant and power steering fluid anyways since the pump and compressor will just get in the way.
