Why is it that some people have daily drivers worth more than the car they spend all their time and money on?
Are these people retarded?
no u
>>15225702
Because having a sweet tidy late model v8 daily and a classic project car is the most awesome shit out
Because people who tinker get true satisfaction from their exploits regardless of the price.
IDK if this is the right place for it, but I'll try here because I can't find my exact problem anywhere else... SO here goes...
I recently got an '09 Honda Accord LX-P, beautiful black, much nicer than my civic ex was... Un fucking fortunately the previous owner was a dipshit. He obviously didn't take good care of the car (dents, scratches all over) but whatever, like exterior is everything?
So here's the fun part. I've had it for maybe 2 weeks now (has 103k on it, with maybe 1k being me) and the fucking power steering is starting to fuck up. Here is exactly what happens
>when car starts for the first time of the day, rpms are a little high (about 1500) but they cool off later on with use
>engine is pretty loud, but it seems to be common among Honda Accords of this year
>back up, usually fine, but then randomly the trouble starts.
>at low rpms, as in slower than 20mph, the fucking power steering is completely gone, but randomly
>at first at higher speeds I'd feel nothing with the power steering, but now even that is slightly notchy
So tl;dr power steering is starting to randomly give out at low rpms/speeds, and I have no clue what it could be. The fluid is pretty dark, there's no leaking, and it is extremely random. Like the only thing that is a fact is that when I start applying my brakes, or am at a light/stop sign the power steering may go out. Which is bad becuase I live in the city, so sometimes I need to make turns kinda quickly after slowing down quickly.. Hard to do that when I have to fight my own car every second of that turn. Please help me with where I should start looking so that my mechanic doesn't fuck me over.

Almost exactly my car.
bumping again... Please anyone?
bump...
bump? Anyone?
How would you go about modding a B18C, specifically a B18C2?
Put a turbro on then when the vtek kicks in at 150000rpm you will get 5000hp
>>15225110
Fuck off
>>15225102
Depends op how much money you want to spend?
Sugar in the fuel tank.
Best mod for any Honda engine.
I drove my shitbox 9 kilometers for 15 minutes without realizing that I forgot to turn on my radiator fan.
I always shifted at 3k and never beat on my engine within those 15ish minutes.
How badly did I fuck my shit up?
I didn't notice my temp gauge, I only found out when I opened my hood to rip out my distributor plug as a ghetto anti theft device and noticed that the engine was hotter than usual.
why would you turn on your fan while your moving?
>>15224987
The previous owner installed a manual fan and I forgot to turn it on.
what was the temp gauge reading?
if you kept moving shouldn't have gotten terrible if the engine didn't shit itself already
Is it okay to pass on the right in California on 6+ lane freeways? I try to stick with passing on the left only, and only using the left most lane for passing, but it seems that rule is ignored here most of the time.
And 4 lane highways going through the suburbs are usually treated as just another street.
So what's the deal here?
>>15224847
I pass people all the time on the right on the 280 and 101. No choice if they are going slow in the left lane. If the left lane is open I will of course pass there, though.
>>15224847
Are you kidding?
California freeways are a free-for-all of insanity. Do whatever you like.
>>15224847
I usually pass on the shoulder, it's safer for everyone that way.
Should I even bother becoming a car enthusiast when I live by roads like this?
No twisty curvy roads at all, just constant stop and go straight lines.
dyno queens and drag cars were invented for a reason.
You should move out of Chicago regardless

Looks like I'll have to turn to murrican muscle

>>15222958
A mercedes with a problem?

>>15222958
If its easy enough to access its an easy fix
at least it was in my Sentra
Was $220 CAD a reasonable amount to pay for completely new brake lines?
>>15222580

When did you realize stance has been around since the 50's?
>>15222345
Hate to see when someone fucks w/my car like that
They had swing axles from the factory tho
stance has been around since people have been changing the factory ride height of their vehicle because thats what the definition of stance is
Lowering a car has been around forever.
Calling the way a car sits has been called it's "stance" forever.
These are both different definitions of stance as it is known today. If you asked a boomer if he ever stanced his car in 60s, he wouldn't know what you are talking about.
I think I want to buy a Dodge Charger but I don't want to look like a nigger.
>Wat do?
>>15222289
Buy the expensive one
>>15222289
1. Buy 2015-16
2. Leave it stock
3. Buy manual RT
4. Be white
Easy.

Get the scat pack
How does this just over €20k hatchback lap the Nordschleife in 7:58.40? How can it be so cheap and yet so fast?
Cars that are slower:
>Chevrolet Corvette C6 - 7:59.00
>Audi RS5 - 7:59.00
>Dodge Viper SRT-10 - 7:59.00
>Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe - 8:01.00
>Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder - 8:01.84
>Aston Martin DBS - 8:02.00
>Porsche 911 Carrera (991) - 8:02.00
>Porsche 911 GT3 (996) - 8:03.00
>Honda NSX-R (3.0) - 8:03.86
If you want to go faster you need a much more expensive Civic Type R, Golf GTI Clubsport S or literally a supercar. What is this sorcery?
>>15222278
Tires. More modern tires.
Don't forget it's FWD.
>>15222278
there's a kind of nurburgring pack that adds a few grand to the price.
basically super stiff suspension, sticky tyres, big brakes.
not rocket science
Why are women so stupid at driving?
Almost got killed by a fucking whale driving like a stupid monkey
I have no clue. My mother can't drive for shit and gets into at least one accident a year. Almost every time I get into a car with a female driver they drive like an insane person.
sounds like your a sexist and a racist
you just wanna blame your own shortcomings on everyone else
