hey /o/ i need some help, parents looking for a new used minivan/crossover/suv
used for hauling around my 2 younger brothers (12 and 15) and their 2 dogs mid sized lab and a cross a bit smaller than the other. Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.
Budget?
If cheap as fuck, Chevy Trax can be had cheap, and cheap to insurance, okay MPG
Middle range, (small) RAV4, Venza, Highlander (big)
Cx3,cx5,cx7 look alright, but the Toyotas are superior in every way.
Rich? X5 or GLK or G wagen
My mom has a Ford flex and hails hay and other farm equipment in it. It's perfect for a family of 5 plus room for doggos and camp gear

Trax is a complete piece of shit.
Is Toyota starting to get better styling? For example the Predator look for the front fascia of recent Lexus was really, REALLY awful and the pinched look of recent Corollas/Camries was also terrible. I hope that designer got fired.

I'll dump some pics from their website because why not. Toyota hatchback looks pretty cool to me.
>actually really dig the looks of Scion models
Thought the 2015 Corolla looks good. A comes with new to bucket seats
So I'm thinking on change the color of my subaru, I'm looking for the classic blue
I know it's called wr blue and some people say it's blue mica, however I don't have the factory exact blue, I'm wondering if someone knows if the Mazda/Ford starry blue mica color is the same tone or if it is different?
I ask that because it's the closer I've found
This is the starry blue mica I've seen
Did your car start blue?
No, mine is paprika red right now
What is the comfiest SUV?
Toyota Qashqai

You mean nissan?
>>16422922
No, the RAV4 sucks.
So /o/tists, steel or alloy?
Which is better?
Steel for winter, alloy for summer
Steelies, always

aircraft-grade forged aluminum
Would you buy a "performance" yaris?
Sure, why not? My wife's is a 2011 iirc and its light as fuck and has been a peach.
Nice Scirocco.
sure, probably faster than the GT86
Hi, I'm trying to find a car that would suit my tastes and needs as my first car
i wanted an E28, a Mercedes 190D ( diesel is cheaper where I live :( ) or a porsche 924 but insuring them would cost way too much, so I've been looking at the most common shitboxes in my area, but the only car that I think could be fun is the Renault Twingo 1.. ( there are literally thousands of them for sale for less than 1k in good condition, and it only needs 4 liters per 100km ) but hatchbacks tend to repel me and well the twingo is ugly as fuck ( in my opinion tho ).
What should be my first car? I'm open to all your advices ( i only have a budget of 2K€ or less though ) but I'd prefer to buy a sedan, + I wouldn't care about it being a diesel or gasoline if it doesn't need too much gas.
thanks for your help :)

the plastic just looks cheap, the interior looks weird, and its shape make it look like a toy, but that's just my opinion, it doesn't even look exotic to me :( And I heard it was a nightmare to drive a Twingo on the highway ( maybe because it wasn't made for this purpose lol)

I agree with Donald. My Fiesta ST was made in Mexico and the panel gaps are fucking garbage.
>>16422462
what about the rest of the car?
why did you buy it?
>>16422453
except American market Cruzes are built in Lordstown, Ohio.
Trump is lying again.
Was checking out some cars and noticed that the wheels outer rim had some small metal blocks bolted on to them?
What sort of repair is that for?
should I be worried if I see that?
>>16422391
is this bait? this has to be bait
you mean the counterweights to balance the wheels?
>>16422407
no they are to balance the tires
and you had better hope your valve stem and cap does not weigh more than the metal it displaces (not that it matters)
Americans are actually dumb enough to pay extra for a rebadged Honda.
>ILX
Civic
>TLX
Accord
>RLX
Accord
>MDX
HR-V
>RDX
CR-V
>NSX
NSX
You got source on that or are you just a fucking faggot ass bitch
Europeans are actually dumb enough to pay extra for a rebadged Volkswagen.
>Audi A1 to A8
VW Passat
The HR-V has like half the HP of the MDX.
>Modifying a car at all
So you think you are smarter than a team of engineers, race car drivers, chemists, physicists and aerospace people?
>spending all day and night shitposting on the automotive board
>>16422248
Some of us are just trying to kill time at work.
>>16422246
>aerospace people
Well im deffinently more intelligent than you
Later today I'm going to look at a 2001 Honda prelude. Anyone know or have any experience with this car? It's an auto however the trans was rebuilt three years ago according to the owner. I'm planning to have it checked at a mechianc shop to be sure it's in good/decent shape and no major issues. What should I look for? Any advice? Is it a good idea to buy this car at all?
>>16422200
>automatic
honestly pal, just save yourself the time and headache and just opt for the standard or buy a different car. it's just not worth it
The automatic fucking sucks in Preludes. Literally manual or bust
>>16422200
Good car, but what like the others said, get a manual
My dad's car has a dent in its rear door.
looks like a trolley or car door tapped it. Anyways it's starting to rust.
is there anything I can do to it like cover it with something to slowdown/stop the rust
>>16422154
pics?
just get a spare door from the wreckers
Sand the spot down and spray POR 15 over it.
>>16422172
The least expensive and fastest option. Since a can of paint and tools is going to cost 50 dollars and is no guarantee it's going to look good or work.
Impulse bought
>WRX 2004
>owned by middle aged couple, wife was the driver
>56k miles
>stock, no mods even exhaust
>$8500
How badly did I fuck up?
Manual?
>>16422113
yes and I don't know how to drive one
How badly can this go wrong
>>16422121
Well, assuming the wife didn't ride the clutch to shit its not that bad.
not a bad deal on the car considering the Subaru tax
My opinion learning to drive manual by just buying a manual car is the best way
Thinking of getting a VW Golf 4 as my first car.
Is this the right way to go?
Get a Twingo
>>16421986
depends on where you live.
if repaired and maintained they're really GREAT first cars, especially with all the rust prevention from factory. I've never seen a 4 with bad rust yet.
If you live in Burgerland tho, I guess you better get something Japanese or Burger made.
Mexican Golfs are known to have all kinds of problems.
>>16421986
I hope you like sticky interior plastics that peel
