Oh shit. I remember this from the bonus features on the Shrek 2 DVD. Good times.
(Also Donkey was the best)

Why did she become so irrelevant after Born This Way? What went wrong?
>>71602864
Career solely based in shock value and gimicks, only one legitimately good song. No fucking surprise really this was bound to happen.
>>71602864
Artpop was shit, that's why. Also she was bad at being a pop star. She could never be Taylor Swift or Katy Perry (wholesome, but with a number of ultra high profile boyfriends) so she went the Madonna route, but the only issue there was that Madonna had already done all of the sexual/provocative shit that Gaga was trying to do back in the 80s when that stuff was actually edgy and taboo. She's too weird and unattractive to be a sweetheart but too boring to be a provocateur.
>>71602864
She released Artpop, terrible fucking album. She brought it back with Joanne, tho, which is why she's seeing a resurgence. I think Lady Gaga more than almost any other pop artist has seen her career correlate almost directly with the quality of the music she's putting out
>"it's so creative"
>It's really just some edgy autist from New York trying to be as edgy and "LOL so ranDUMB XD" as possible
>"It blends so many genres"
>Actually does no blending, but instead awkwardly juxtaposes them in ways that don't work at all.
>Vocals are absolute fucking nonsense.
>The album is like, 30 tracks or some shit and they're all just short bursts of cacophony.
>Some of the tracks are as short as 12 seconds.
Why does /mu/ like Naked City?
Pic unrelated.
literally what/who
i'm on /mu/ 24/7 and have never seen that thing posted

Is this punk?
new wave/power pop
>>71602745
I mean, yeah, but it's not really musically recognizable as "punk."
Genre is weird
>>71602774
I never thought power pop was a very good descriptor for music
ITT: albums you've been spinning the fuck out of recently
>>71602625
>spinning
It's not on vinyl son.
>>71602625
>all those 10/10 album that everyone praises that you just can't seem to get into
Someday I'll "get" the Glow Pt. 2, I swear.
I hate that album tbqh
>>71602448
A lot of /mu/ is unlistenable. Including The Glow Pt 2. Don't be such a sheep. Think for yourself, dude. Try and expand your taste, but don't force yourself to listen to music you don't like to get internet cred with a bunch of neets and morons.
>>71602448
Dude, if you don't "get" an indie folk album, you're probably beyond saving.
post artists that are going to blow up sometime in the near future ITT

Can't stand any of that gay shit.
so you listened to their most mainstream album (like a pleb would) and formed your opinion around the first song. lol
Go listen to The Lonesome Crowded West and if you don't like it at least you gave it some effort.

How tall do you think Gira is?

I've seen a lot of people posting on /mu/ how much they love Meddle. Is it really that good? Do other Pink Floyd albums compare?
>>71602146
theres maybe one or two good songs on the first half, and of course the second is only echoes which is the best song on the whole album.
overall its kinda in the middle meh tier.
>>71602178
I definitely get echoes, it's great at points, but I wasn't entirely impressed with the rest of the album
>>71602146
It has been my favorite Pink Floyd album since I was in 4th grade. It just spoke to me. It used to scare the shit out of me with the line in One Of These Days and the various sounds in Echos. But it was a good scare, and I soon would sleep with it playing every night.
San Tropez is my favorite song on the album. Seamus is my least favorite.
Listen to Echos super loud while lying in pitch dark all the way through at least once. Life changing.
/r9k/: The album
