Anyways, guitars are easily the most popular instruments, tons of people buy fairly expensive ones and only ever bother learning a few chords. Nobody just decides to buy a flute one day. Most music stores I see aren't that bad, though.

Guitar is the most popular Instruments in the world next to the piano. Almost every genre uses the guitar in some way.

Up to you whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. I think it's a good thing.

I honestly don't think this album is that good compared to several of their other releases. It just doesn't 'do' it for me the same way JD, NLDW, TMS, and ExM do.

I was always most personally drawn to the texture of the distortion over actual songwriting or complexity. If I didn't like the guitar tone I didn't like the band.

That's probably just me though because I still most listen to music for it's textures.

I've been at college for a year now and have yet to meet someone even capable of listening to a full album.
