Honestly, Daydreaming is the most uninspirational garbage i've heard, and it just happened to be shit sprinkled with its own music video as well. The piano is nothing I haven't heard before as far as just some slow arpeggiated god damned bull shit. The first 4 seconds sounds like a fucking shlohmo song. There is nothing memorable about the vocals other than incoherent whining that just barely accompanies the key of the fuckin piano bull shit. Muh reverse vocals, muh strings. The "edgy secret message ooh" bullshit from this is just a fan service, and honestly they must have wrote this shit in like 4 minutes which is less than the actual length of trauma itself. I pumped at a gas station one night and saw this garbage playing on their stupid screen shit. 0/10

You're never alone when listening to Alvvays.

jk, Odessey and oracle. touch melancholic but happy and beautiful
Could we fix this board's problems if there was a /mg/ board like we have /v/ AND /vg/?
If we had a containment board for music generals, we could rid this board of discussing Death Grips, Radiohead, Grimes, all that shit that everyone already knows. It would clear up the catalog for sharing and discovery instead of all these memes.
There are so many different porn boards, I'm sure some of them could be merged to make room for a meme containment board.
great idea man even though im ok with some memes ive always wanted to try something like a memeless mu experience
>>71980044
I mean I'd probably split my time evenly between them, but there are only so many ways to discuss Death Grips' discography.
Plus everyone who likes generals can make sure there's always a dedicated spot for them.
Are these dudes immortal or something.

Its not the same people as it was back at their founding. Listen to Meet The Residents and then listen to Ghost of Hope, do you hear any of the same voices on the two albums?
Tomorrow, of Montreal hits the road til the end of April.
Any setlist predictions/wishlists? Are you going to see the Kevin Barnes experience?
>>71979786
fuck these homos desu
>>71979825
I like their gay music tbqhwyf
>>71979786
Saw them in CT a few months back, after the release of "Innocence Reaches." The performance they put on is worth it alone, regardless of the music (which is great, considering Kevin Barnes is self aware of all his popular songs). Only problem is that the crowd is very LGBT...so many trannys
>worst song comes after best song

ITT: Music that Christian Republican parents in middle America allow their children to listen to because all of that other rap and pop music has too much cursing and sex and drugs in it.
I only listen to REAL hip hop

What impact did the Beatles have on music? Can you name specific examples?
>>71979337
Pretty much every rock band formed after 1969 cites them as an influence
Helter Skelter was the first heavy metal song
I Want You (She's so heavy) was the first doom metal song
>>71979412
>beatles
>influence on doom/metal
lmao
keep thinking that
>>71979337
>They inspired formation of the Monkees. .
open and shut case
>tfw started to get into prog
>just starting to realize how all other music genres are shit by comparison
Why didn't you tell me about this /mu/? Literally no other genre is as good.
>>71979301
>___ genre is best and nothing can compare
what are you, 12?
You just found prog and you already consider it better than anything else? what happens when you stumble across the next "new thing", will all the music you've listened to be considered shit and irrelevant yet again?
>>71979301
Who are your favourite prog bands OP
