Pick one.
Donuts really loses it's appeal when you listen to the songs it sampled. It's actually pretty lazy.

Samefag here. Im almost sure he has a huge member. I can tell. I'm positive.
For a lot of people, heavy metal is today's real rock-and-roll, the music of the people. It's basic, it's rude, kids love it, parents hate it. But a closer look reveals how stupid and delusory it is. Metal is not basic--it cultivates a pseudo-virtuosity that negates content. The values it promulgates are foolish and often destructive. Eighty percent of the "people" who like it are male and 98% of them are white.
>cucks hate metal
it all makes sense now
cant the same be said about punk
except for replacing the word virtuosity for style
>>71992067
Punk has always had a sizable female following though, while very few women listen to metal unless they're dyke lesbians.
it's contrarian to say he wasn't the greatest right?
>>71991574
the greatest who? composer? probably no. classicist figure? probably no.
Beethoven > Bach > Mozart > Brahms > Schubert > Mendelssohn

I know. The Byrds are so intoxicatingly good, their music may induce vomiting in the unprepared. I should have put up a warning.
fuck you faggot
Whats your favorite Sufjan Stevens album? Personally I love how every album he does is so different to his last, also his christmas albums are a lot of fun.
>>71991198
C&L. I just never could get into any of his other ones.
>>71991198
I was very apprehensive towards C&L upon release. I didn't want him reverting to his old indy shit after he grew so much as a songwriter and composer. After a few listens though, I fell in love with it. The nuanced synths and general atmosphere is like some sorta chilly stasis. Beautiful album all around. That being said, I think his All Delighted People ep and The Age of Adz are his finest works. He works wonders with the compositions for a wide array of instruments. I honestly can't enjoy much of his pre 2009 work.. it all just sounds dated, under developed, and even adolescent. He's grownj into a timeless and more patient songwriter and I'm hyped for that planet album he worked on that's coming out later in summer.
>>71991198
1 Enjoy Your Rabbit
2 Silver & Gold
3 Age of Adz
These are my top 3 projects of his. Gotta give a shout out to Michigan and Sisyphus though, also love those.
Why do black people don't listen to music made by white people?
>>71991006
they're too stupid to comprehend music other than a retard talking over a 4/4 beat
We do. My favorite band is NMH
>>71991006
a lot of A E S T H E T I C black people enjoy shit like Joy Division and Tame Impala
A record label hires you as an engineer/producer for a wide variety of bands/styles. The only caveat is that they're only letting you use 1 microphone for all of the projects. Which one do you choose and why?
that's already what happens to me. i have a little recording set-up and multiple projects with different styles.
i only have a sm58. works fine. it's just a little bit brighter than a sm57 but you can correct that with mic positioning in a pinch.
>>71991001
I used a handheld recorder for a couple of albums.
It wasn't that bad, because it used it in a deliberately lo-fi way.
>>71991097
make/model
A thread for us who make/produce music?
Don't be shy, share your projects even if youre not completely proud of it. Anons can bring feedback and critique or whatever.
>>71990746
thats what /prod/ is for
What equipment do I need to record myself on guitar and my friend on drums live? We play in a garage and get quite loud. Budget is ~$600
>>71990755
/prod/ seems to be entirely electronic music, not everyone who makes music makes music on their computers
>>71990826
nah, /prod/ is about everything music production related and there's quite a few regulars like myself who do other genres and record instruments
to answer your question:
$600 will most likely not do, even if you get some really good used deals
you need microphones: at least a stereo pair of overheads, a kick and a snare mic and a mic for your guitar cab, that's the minimal setup
look for some condensers like the rode nt5 as overheads, shure sm57 goes on snare and guitar amp and akg d112 or audix d6 are good kick drum mics that don't break the bank
then to record it to your computer you need a interface with at least 6 channels for that setup, 8 would be better for further expansions, look at something like a focusrite 18i20
and at last you need the DAW of your choice on your computer
