I have a very hard time believing that she listens to Coltrane given that she has one part of an album that doesn't make sense unless you listen to the whole thing; plus it's the only jazz on the entire playlist and it's from the most famous jazz album ever released. I believe she listens to the older artists and some of them are based, but it's not anything surprising or groundbreaking.

I actually think they're really good. they get hated on sometimes but I think a lot of it is unfair, almost everything sounds good to me on them.

I have a theory that if Surf Wax America (last A side song) would've been a single, Weezer would've continued to rock
We all know they started sucking after the first album (idiots claim Pinkerton was good)
Realize how Surf Wax America was not on the Opposite Sides of the Same Good Ol' Fence?
The song was written to be a hit single however the record company made some dumb decision and thr band pulled the song so it would only appear as an album track
Because of that "Suzanne" ended up in Mallrats, the Kevin Smith movie
But that song wasn't on the album and the label offered it to Kevin Smith in order to promote the album
What happened is Weezer knew the album would become really popular so they didn't ask for a single of Surf Wax America or it to be included in the label list of promo songs
And that's why we got Stinkerton
