SCREEEEEEEEEEE SCREEEEEEEEEEEE SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

I keep listening to the last 4 minutes of lentic catachresis
why is it so catchy
Didn't see any thread about this in the catalog but holy shit, this release is incredible. I was expecting another TTG.
It's like a blend of Campfire Songs with the ambient natural sounds and maybe CHZ with the really fucking digital, mechanical, strangeness lurking around. It's incredible.
Also, had NO idea they released an unreleased song they made for Red Dead Redemption. DL'ing now and will report back.
Anybody else check these out?
Is this going to be digitally released?

It's a bible quote
>Black metal
>Musicians are all white
>punk rock
>musicians are old gentrified businessmen
>indie rock
>musicians are signed to major labels
are there any metal bands made up of all/mostly black members?
i'm not really into the genre but it seems near exclusively a white guy thing

This did not need to be a thing.
what's everyone's thoughts on RHMT 2017? I really like it. don't like the echo on bono's vocal during the chorus but the horns add a lot to the track and the production is super crisp
>>72370306
I hate it. love the joshua tree and the song but the mix sucks ass. You can clearly tell the vocals in the chorus are from the 80's and the verses are new, and the echo on the verses compared to the choruses doesn't blend well
What's your honest opinion about them?
>>72370002
Equal to all trap posted here, just few less vocals
>>72370002
Their music sucks and they're not even hot.
>>72370107
I think you're confused.
anyone else think this is a dud? I've tried listening to it multiple times, I appreciate their older stuff like tri repetae and amber, love their newer stuff (elseq was aoty last year for me), but this is just not sitting well with me.
thank fuck i'm not the only one.
It's their best album

cheched, this
How the fuck do I make music /mu/? No matter how many long nights I stay up on FL studio, no matter how many youtube tutorials I watch, no matter how much music I listen to for inspiration, I can never make anything better than a shitty beat that a middleschooler would make in garage band. I honestly want very few things more than to be able to create somewhat cohesive music and I just can't in any form. For those of you who have a grasp on music, how did you do it?
It only takes time. More time than you want it too.
>good sample
>nice breakbeat

can't help you. music came naturally to me.
What makes it a 10?
Le baldheaded melon man said so
Realistically it's a 7/10 at best
Fantano, like Christgau, rates replayability, as opposed to musicality and originality like Scaruffi. In Fantano's mind, The Money Store is a better record than Trout Mask Replica simply because he listens to it more.
because there is no bad song except for fuck that but we just forget about that one and call it a 10.
