Does /mu/ like American Primitivism?
I haven't heard very much but I'm a big fan of what I have. I listen to a lot of older folk and gospel music which is really some of my favorite stuff.
John Fahey and Robbie Basho are literally the only ones I've listened to. I liked them though.
eh 6.5/10 i didn't dislike it
Stanley Clarke is our guy

ITT: people in the music community who have killed someone
Has had at least 15 people who wanted to leave his label murdered.
Friendly reminder to all, that this is still album of the year by a long, long way.

It's really shit man
I don't know how people can enjoy it, it's kind of funny the first time every other track in a "oh, that's clever I see how you've done that" way
The actual songs are shit though
Maybe I just don't get it

I can't fall sleep and need to be at work in 4 hours, so I really didn't need this right now OP, but I'm going to take it anyway.

It's only for masturbating.
it's a multi-million dollar industry that capitalizes on sensory overload and simplistic but addictive elements akin to a lot of cartoons.
it's not without artistic merit though, just not necessarily the deepest and most fully realized artistry you'll ever see though.
>>72361227
it's colorful, wholesome, catchy and fun
the most revealing outfits you'll ever see are shorts and tank tops. the rest are straight up /fa/ as fuck or colorful and wholesome
the video sets are interesting, original, well lighted and usually always have a plot or a "concept". the choreography is fun to watch and well synched
the song lyrics are surprisingly good and modest, with some notable exceptions.
going back to western pop after listening to kpop is shocking and revolting. the last time i did it i ran into a song where the two ugly whores were straight up singing about fucking, they were in a dank and dark filthy looking basement, the "choreography" was them using cross training machines and wearing leotards where i could see their genitals. seriously, why the fuck would i ever listen to western pop?
Is it me or there a lot of Springsteen-bashing threads on /mu/ lately? I'm sorry if you're all plebs and your dad used to beat you while playing Born To Run, but...
I'm On Fire is still one of the most romantic songs I have ever heard.
No OP, you are the pleb and so is Bruce Springsteen.
>rip off Bob Dylan
>rip off funk rock, oh look I have a New York accent
>rip off heartland rock, oh look I have a Midwestern accent
>rip off hard rock
>rip off an assortment of pop rock styles and also speed up the vocals to sound more like a teenager
>rip off folk and country and the band Suicide while bemoaning the hard times endured by Midwestern folk just like me as I'm staring at the millions of dollars in my Swiss bank account
>rip off Tom Petty and synth pop, oh look I have a Southern accent
>rip off a bunch of adult contemporary soft rock and synth pop tunes
>repeat on next album, oh look I have a California accent
>mix and match all of these for the rest of my career
>oh look I have an Irish accent on this one song
>make an album about 9/11 so I can be relevant again

evanescence, black veil brides, my chemical romance, fall out boy
Does anyone else notice the constant battle between liberal and authoritarian views on music this board has? If you get triggered if i say i like this album then you should know what side you fall on. Its like this board is a hybrid of 4chan and reddit and i find it fucking hilarious

Are black people the musical masterrace?
They invented, just to name a few:
>blues
>soul
>funk
>jazz
>ragtime
>hip hop
>rock&roll
>reggae
For being the poorest and fairly small minority in America, they did a lot
>>72360825
>blues
>soul
>funk
>jazz
>ragtime
all are second-rate Debussy harmonies plus some ba dum tss savage rhythm in the background.
