Can I get a quick rundown on these guys? Why do they wear the coats?
> enjoy singing
> have a speech impediment that keeps me from pronouncing "L"
Anyone else have something holding them back from making music?
>>72372385
mfao
Yes, lack of motivation
>>72372385
you can make it your "thing"
Beatles or Rolling Stones?
Beatles by a strawberry field.
Beatles if you want feels
Stones if you want grooves
>>72372285
This sort of but Beatles.
>mfw when this is on par with the rest of their work
really shows what music journalism can do to ya
underrated
Composition wise it's okay but I just can't get past the abysmal mixing desu
I really liked performed live
>>72372297
yeah it's mixed kinda claustrophobiclly
i think seeing it live really helps you "get it"
How much do lyrics matter in music?
I'm not saying singing doesn't matter in many songs, but I usually don't bother listening for what exactly the lyrics say until I already like a song.
I see the use of the voice as an instrument as more important that the lyrics, if the lyrics even matter at all.
So how important are they really?
yeah u right
depends on the genre and/or focus of the album. like the lyrics on Benji are obviously the only point
just for myself personally they can't be too cringey because that will definitely affect my enjoyment of the music, like some corny punchlines from Kanye or some very juvenile and syrupy lyrics from Lana Del Rey or some shit
however, if I listening to country, gospel or folk where the instrumentation and delivery of the singer lets you hear what they are hearing clearly lyrics make a bigger impact than say if i was listening to heavy metal or trap, a lot of Patsy Cline and Sam Cookes lyrics are SO comfy and contributes a lot to the emotion they are trying to convey
so for me lyrics are important depending on the genre
Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin?
Sabbath by a mile
>>72372073
Black Sabbath. It's not even close.
Zeppelin by a kilometer

>>72371786
don't
calling this post-punk is fucking pathetic. Since you retards have no idea what post-punk actually is, go listen to some of The Pop Group, This Heat, and Pere Ubu. Just because it is rock music from the same era as punk, and it isnt really punk, does NOT mean that it is automatically. The instrumentation is way too simple. This is pop. U2 are nothing but a typical mainstream 80s band, along the lines of Foreigner and Bon Jovi, with no debt to punk or post-punk at all.
sounds like jangle or a smiths ripoff
sorry my man
>>72371765
Shit bait
This sounds similar to The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, Siouxsie & the Banshees etc. vein of Post-Punk
