No album is perfect, but this is at least a 9/10.
How would you change it to make it a full 10/10?
Ignoring nitpicking lyrics, I'd:
* Smooth out the transition between the Hook and the beat-drop. Sounds a bit better the second time though.
*
* Remove or rewrite Kid Cudi's part (diff. melody) on All of the Lights.
* Remove Jay-Z's part from Monster and add Kendrick. He proved himself on this beat already and he had that hungry-up-and-coming sound back then. Potentially a bridge by Bon Iver.
* Remove Hell of a Life (and reuse parts of it for a new song, like the samples after the hook)
just get rid of so appalled and shorten the chris rock skit on blame game by at least half and move it to a track earlier on in the album

So Appalled is a masterpiece bruv, what are you talking about?

Reminder that it's been 13 years since we got a good Modest Mouse album.
Does anyone still defend this band? Will we get another decent album from them again in our lifetimes?

No One's First And You're Next was on par with GNFPWLBN, and that was 2009. But yeah, this was a really weak effort. I think Isaac has outgrown the problems that made him a good songwriter.
13 years? More like 20. Sorry, but it's true.
Reminder that it's been 47 years since we got a good Beatles album
Will draw album covers in Ms Paint. Post away!

What are some essential Van Morrison albums?
Astral Weeks
Tupelo Honey
Veedon Fleece
Common One
Beautiful Vision
Poetic Champions Compose
Hymns to the Silence
Contractual Obligation Session

Astral Weeks. Also Moondance and Veedon Fleece are decent.
But Van Morrison's discography is very frustrating because in the 50 years it spans he doesn't even come close to creating something as magical as Astral Weeks again.
>smart enough to realize how boring and derivative 99% of pop and rock music is
>still too stupid to understand classical, avant-garde jazz, and other experimental or art music

Same, but I'm also too old to start studying music and take up an instrument.

So if there exists free jazz and free folk, has anybody ever attempted free pop? Pop music with lessened interest in structure or conventional harmonies.
