Because to have music that would fit the thrash (fast tempos, palm muted open strings, etc.) or black (tremolo picked, lofi, screamed vocals) labels, you generally have to be already in the metal categories. However there is crossover thrash which takes thrash elements and applies them to punk
>>
>>73059982
Blackgaze is kinda like black rock (thinking Alcest). Also Kvelertak could be considered black rock. Metal usually overpowers other genres so it doesn't mix that well with non-metal genres. The sevage water metaphor fits pretty well.

Best music to listen to when driving? I find that gliding around while listening to Storm feels strangely natural.

Same. This album is perfect long drive core that isn't super obvious like Soundtrack for the Deaf. I also really like Substance by New Order for driving for some reason

Idk, but it's probably the most important because it came up with the most novel, innovative ideas. We're going to keep seeing black metal's influence for a long time.

i like deathconsciousness because of how dreadful it is

honestly i dont think ive ever been sadder listening to music than listening to crow. giles corey came close when i was depressed but after losing my dad this year ive been a bit more emotionally vulnerable and i cried like a bitch listening to crow
