Childhood is idolizing Britain.
Adulthood is realizing America were the true trailblazers all along.
Enlightenment is realizing how The Doors and Bob Dylan are the most overrated artists in rock history.

Bob Dylan? Yes I have to agree with you.
>>73070591
Transdimensional post-human enlightened Nirvana is realizing The Doors and Bob Dylan fully deserve their acclaim

Tell me about Japanese music.
About all I got to go on is some jazz and Dir en Grey.
*mostly* shite that people think is really good simply because it has that exotic Japonais finish to it and for some reason people completely sperg out at that point and can't judge the art irrespective of that. There are people all over the world doing the same shit and yet no one cares.

Steve Albini's the edgy kid who likes knives a little too much.
The quiet one who eats lunch alone
>>73069987
No, Steve Albini is that one guy who's fairly intelligent but has the mental elasticity of a brick. Anything anyone says he'll have to refute and clarify, even mundane, rhetorical parts of conversation he'll argue instead of just saying "Yeah" or "Oh, OK" like a normal person. You hang out with him because you share some interests but he's not your favorite person, nor even the smartest person you know.
The popular kid who was really smart.

Experimental isn't a genre, it's a quality.
