How well does A Contact manage to capture the events in the Ideon TV series? The compilation movies for the original Gundam were pretty excellent so I know Tomino is capable of trimming down some fat for a more streamlined viewing but I hear that most of the events in the series are cut down to just this one movie.
I dislike filler and I've read that there's quite a few throwaway episodes in the series. Are A Contact and Be Invoked sufficient enough to be replacements for the TV show or is the series really the better option?

It maybe covers three or four episodes out of 30, and still manages to miss the important things that are setting up Be Invoked. Character actions won't make sense without watching the last 8 episodes.

Hi, /m/.
Long story short; I'm looking for an artist who can both design mecha, draw them in action and do digital painting.
Longer story: I'm producing a boardgame based on eastern mecha franchises ( and yes, I'm aware of the recent Armored Core and Giga Robo Kickstarters ) and I'm really struggling to find an artist to design the units for the miniatures and to do artwork for the box and the manual.
If anyone knows anyone, follows anyone on twitter, has a friend, or a favourite artist that they know does good work and is available for hire then please, please, please, let me know.
Thanks for your help, I'll be intermittently bumping this thread throughout the day.

Was War in the Pocket never released on Blu-Ray? I'm going through the UC Gundam series and this is the one I was most looking forward to, but I can only find DVD rips. What gives? Literally everything else is on BD.

last I checked Anno had no idea where he wanted to go with 3.0+1.0 and really didn't even have an interest in it. Sorry, don't have citation on hand, but it's out there.
3.0+1.0 will prob come out though. It'll just be down the line when Anno needs cash. Prob a couple of years, maybe more if Shin Godzilla does super well.
