Also there is a rumor that Shinji Higuchi stated that Godzilla will have 70 minutes of screen time. Has this been debunked or did the madman actually do it?

I expect that the movie itself with initially have a very positive reception but upon having a more widespread release, it'll be nitpicked into oblivion as every single choice Anno made is questioned, pointed out how it could have been better, or shown how Anno was just rehashing himself.

First reviews have been strangely too positive. Wouldn't be surprised if Toho paid off a couple critics just so there would be no bad reviews to hamper the actual release and not affect sales until it actually opens. Kind of like all those gaming sites such as IGN that were paid off by Konami to shill MGSV as the greatest thing ever.

Its pretty simple actually. S1 followed a enemy of the the week kind of pattern, which i dont find that bad, it was a fun show. S2 took the fanservice and wikipedia-babble to a whole new level and wasnt any fun at all, it was painful right off from the first episode

Nothing's really as bad as the memes make them out to be.

Except for ZZ, that manages to be way worse.
