Jantsch also identifies ‘superconscious learning’, which takes place with the addition of ‘outer’ and ‘inner’ ways of learning. These arise through the interaction of consciousness with transpersonal mass/collective consciousness (eg. Jung’s "collective unconscious")

I just read this and it's probably my favorite book ever.

How would you rank Bradbury's works?

Also, what did you think of the Martian Chronicles and which were your favorite stories?

>>
I liked it when I was a kid but don't remember anything now, save that the colours were way more coral reef pastels and clay than expected (I'd expected Mars to be depicted as red at the time)
>>
hated them.
sometimes they were too cynical like the story of the last two people on mars who fall in love through phone calls but when he sees she's fat he runs away

other times they are too spiteful, like the one about the guy who makes a haunted house to kill a bunch of guys who "killed romanticism"

and sometimes they are too heavy handed like the ones where humans are the dumb greedy invaders and the aliens are the noble savages whose land we stole

also too poetic and not scientifically rigorous but that is personal taste
>>
I personally love Bradbury. "--And the Moon be Still as Bright" is one of my favorite short stories.

Or the story of the house on earth catching fire. I forget the name, but I liked that one too.

I know /lit/ doesn't love the guy, but I happen to really like most of his works. Also I want to absorb his prose into my face. It's a treat to read.

Do you post this every day?

1. There's already a board devoted to movies and TV.
2. The script isn't the commodity with film—the actual film is.
3. The production isn't the commodity with theatre—the script is.
4. Plays are regularly published and available for study in literature class and have been for centuries (tradition)

>Do you post this every day?

No idea what you're talking about.

>1. There's already a board devoted to movies and TV.

I'm not asking about movies and tv. I asked why film scripts are not considered literature but play scripts are.

>2. The script isn't the commodity with film—the actual film is.

I agree that a lot more than the script goes into making a quality film, but that's the same with a play.

>3. The production isn't the commodity with theatre—the script is.

It's no different than a film.

>4. Plays are regularly published and available for study in literature class and have been for centuries (tradition)

This is probably the answer. Tradition.

>5. Stop posting this thread, you dense retard.

Reminder this is the best poet we've seen on 4chan. Still no news from him.

http://4poet.tumblr.com/

I sing the god carcinoma
devourer of beggar and saint.
across all our tissue
the bulls he gives issue
make every is into an ain’t

I sing the mighty sarcoma
Consuming the daft and the wise
In the pallid lymph courses
he marshalls his forces
Decembering all our Julys

Come give us the hymn “melanoma”
the bane of both pauper and prince
when the cool probe insults
and we wait the results,
and the specialist cannot but wince

we sacrifice things on their altars
a lobe or a limb or an eye,
that our doings without
may appease them no doubt
that this bribe might just let us get by.

But the comfort of friends is not cheering
and the struggle does not give release
and the glance of an eye
and the tremor and sigh
and the long dismal wait for decease

Oh drink you the health of Lymphoma:
requiter of dread and despair
and the step on the scale
as it tells a new tale
of a soon to be vacanted chair

But we had some good laughs with him didn’t we?
and he made a good run of it though;
have another small round,
he won’t wake at the sound.
take the bottle back home as you go.

What's up, native dunces. I'm from Russia and my knowledge of English is indescribably shitty. However, having lately freaked out due to longing for a good English read and having not as yet endeavoured to read something, I said to myself, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! So I decided on taking a stab at reading that fucking Orwell first. To tell you the truth, the very first chapter of 1984 was so bloody hard to read! I've scored over 100 unknown words aside from phrasal verbs along with not quite understandable sentences. Now my passion's dying down slowly and I'm beginning to feel so devastated. What do I need to do, choose something way much simpler or try to memorize those words and reread chapters over and over again till I get a hang of them? Do native speakers consider his novels as difficult read? Incidentally, I've been studying English only for 1 year and 7 months by now. Naturally, all by myself.

Define "Existential Crisis"
>>
>>8070189

An existential crisis is a moment at which an individual questions the very foundations of their life: whether this life has any meaning, purpose, or value.[1] This issue of the meaning and purpose of existence is the topic of the philosophical school of existentialism.
>>
>>8070183

I think Nietzsche made the point in 'Human, All Too Human' that a world in which "God is dead" will essentially lose its biggest metaphysical foundation thus far.

Welcome to that world.

Why I never see any thread about Latin literature posted here?

I know you anglofags are always concerned on postmodernism and other philosophical thoughts of this kind, but that's why I see so often people assuming dichotomous views or being too self assured.

/lit/, I've decided I'm going to finish writing some YA fantasy crap that I came up with in my teenage years. I still have all the notes, drawings, and drafts, and I think the plot is solid enough for the purpose. There's plenty of strong, female characters, the antagonist group is entirely xenophobic, and the protagonist has plenty of undiscovered childhood trauma that I can slowly milk dry and use to keep the story going without too much effort from any of the main characters, just like Rowling did with Harry Potter.

Can anyone give me advice on this? Has anyone here ever attempted such a thing? I'm convinced that if I get some key themes and character arcs right, all I have to do is come up with shit like pic related, and all the 14-yo girls will remember my book as the first time they got properly wet. I'm even willing to add a homosexual character (trans is a bit much for the setting, but I might be forced to do so if the edgy-character/word count ratio isn't sufficiently high), and some of my other ideas include:

>girl in protagonist group was sexually abused and will therefore make completely irrational choices that create tension and crises to keep the story interesting when the plot isn't moving
>girl in protagonist group is blind, but very sassy and confident, and capable of doing without effort that which the protagonist has great trouble with (later we find out that she wasn't born blind, but actually lost her sight through some kind of traumatic event, and she'll drop her tough persona for a while to be exposed as actually sensitive)
>the antagonist in the first part of the book turns out to be a childhood friend, and the real antagonist is actually the xenophobic capitalist establishment
>one of the protagonist's friends dies somewhere 3/4th through the book, causing the main character to become gloomy, mature, and careless, which will cause him to make some ethically questionable decisions during the climax

(cont.)

What I need to know is, what are the next steps after I finish writing it? There will be plenty of platitudinous observations such as pic related, unnecessarily complex self-reflection, and imaginary struggles, so I think I got most of it down in terms of writing, but I wouldn't know where to go once it is finished. I'm thinking it is best to publish it (in parts) on some YA/fiction/blogger site to see if there's interest, and then try pull a 50 Shades of Grey. Does anyone have any recommendations for such sites? I'm looking for an audience that is predominantly female or otherwise void of wit, and I want the community to be such an intellectual vacuum that every single comment reads something along the lines of "I absolutely LOVED this". I will then use this audience to ensure that my synthetic tumour is kickstarted to the NYT bestseller list once I release it. I've already started thinking about what to put on the dedication page, I'm leaning toward "This is for the readers, the dreamers, and the adventurers" but I am open to suggestions.

So in short:
>what characteristics did I miss
>where to publish and how (in parts or in full)
>essential tips & tricks
