> In the UK text, for example, Mitchell writes at one point that: “Historians still unborn will appreciate your cooperation in the future, Sonmi ~451. We archivists thank you in the present. […] Once we’re finished, the orison will be archived at the Ministry of Testaments. […] Your version of the truth is what matters.”
>In the US edition, the lines are: “On behalf of my ministry, thank you for agreeing to this final interview. Please remember, this isn’t an interrogation, or a trial. Your version of the truth is the only one that matters.”
I can say that I only read British translations of books, not American.

What's wrong with wanting your books in English, without all these made-up fantasy words?

What is the best erotic literature that has some actual substance and that does not ressemble a shopping list of sex? i.e. that it has a good plot, good prose and nice descriptions, instead of just running from one sex scene to the other.

What's a good book to read when you're unbearably unintelligent and you know it? I'm just so painfully average in my intelligence, but I wish that I was more intelligent so badly.

Eh, fuck it bruh. We all dumb as hell yo.
but yeah, read of human bondage.

Just try the essentials. Lolita is a bit heavy, and by heavy i mean you need some basic knowledge of french and a slightly above average vocabulary. It's a good, fast read though. Give it 30 pages, it gets pretty good.

It's all part of the Jewish plan to breed out whiteness, through emasculation, i.e. caring about nature, women, nonwhites, etc

I care about nature but not in the conventional way tho.
For example, sometimes biomass can be better as biodiversity. I also prefer resilient nature over fragile nature.
As an experienced Murakami reader, will I be able to read and understand pic related without reading it's prequels? This is the only book I currently have available in "The Rat" series.

Prove to me that this isn't an avant-garde exploration of a directionless narrative, driven by deliberately self-inserted characters and a genuine expression of romantic underlust obfuscated by passionate sporting and ritualistic black magic?
tl;dr this book was a joke and people who said that it was bad fell for it

whatever it is, it's written like rotten garbage.
how does life-affirmation work?
suppose i'm jealous of a successful younger guy. either i reluctantly affirm his success and feel guilty about my reaction or:
i affirm my emotion and hate an innocent person which seems to be the way of resentment.
is one of the choices more life-affirming or is there a hidden 3rd option nietzsche would have chosen?
Exactly, every time i take a shit I have to observe and find beauty in it in order to affirm all life. Nietzscheien ethics and poo fetish are inextricably intertwined

Kill him and take his place.
Good job, /lit/, you baited me into reading this.
Now the real question is: are all of Robert's books garbage?
Welcome to the club of good taste!
Apart from your garbage I've only read two others: The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress, and Stranger In A Strange Land.
Both are similarly preachy, both are garbage too.
I swear every time Heinlein had an idea about how society should be run he got all excited about it, and then wrote a trashy SF novel expunging his idea so he wouldn't have to come up with any downsides, too excited about his idea.

Good thread.
Faust is a shit work for pseuds and ugly Germans desperate to have a "culture". This is why it's never talked about here.
