I don't think they like it when you deliberately use them as fallback like that just because of your dating problems. It's OK if you have troubles and are lonely, etc, but seems like you can't help but think of them as lesser and would only use them for sex. You're not thinking of them as people first. That's probably what most of them are trying to avoid.
