Dear /lgbt/,
Pls give me advice. I have considered myself straight my entire life but at this point I have undeniable romantic feelings for my male friend (I too am male). Physical attraction is not as prominent but this is a side note. My real problem is this: he has, in the past, stated that he is "9.9/10" straight.
We are very close and I can't do anything that would fuck up our friendship. Despite this, when I see him I feel like I should tell him how I feel.
Given the demographics of sexual orientation, how do you cope when you have feelings for someone who will almost definitely never have interest in you?
Lastly, I do not have these feelings about any other man.

So I was talking to this cute guy I'd met, and my parents read some of the messages that I'd sent this dude and found out I was gay. I asked them why they thought that, and they responded with telling me a bunch of different things about how God didn't make me this way, and that I'd "liked" women before. Most of it bounced right off of me. I had wrestled the year prior, but I wasn't doing it this year. They brought up the fact that if I was gay, I would've had to had a boner every time I wrestled. I couldn't think of anything to disprove that. I thought I was gay, but I didn't get boners every time a hot guy walked passed by like some of my friends did when a girl did.
