Admit ur reasoning for transitioning.
Pic related.
If you can't have, why not be?
>>7395839
I really want to be a girl?
what other reason is there?
>>7395839
I came to the conclusion that female privilege is far more comfortable and superior than male privilege. So I transitioned to become a girl for a more carefree life since mainstream society was starting to become more liberalized in accepting gay and lesbian people overall. This was in 2015, before the rise of Donald Trump by the way.
Let me start by saying I am a deeply repressed homosexual.
I come here today to ask other gays (the open ones) "how do you do it"? How can you look your own father in the eye with him knowing you're a homo that sucks cock like a woman?
How did you manage to have gay sex and not feel completely degraded and disgusted with your own actions eitherwards?
I'm not trolling. I just really want to understand.
Memories have chains, there's more to this world then meets the eye
>>7395633
I started by respecting my parents and understanding there was information I had that was important to share with them, so that we could have the best family relationships possible, and so that an access to my life wouldn't become foreclosed to them. If your father sees less dignity in the action than in its concealment, then he's a bum with no sense of honour.
Well if you feel like that, maybe your doing something wrong.
We all know /pol/ is in the closet, programming is trutrans so most of /g/ is too, /vg/ plays as girls because they want to be one, and /k/ is clearly overcompensating for their lack of masculinity.

List the things that make you Dysphoric, in order from most dyphoric to least dysphoric.
i willl go first!
>1.facial hair
>2. hair loss
>3. male gender role
>4. shoulder width
>5. genitals
>6. adams apple
>7. skull structure
Does dysphoria even real? Like I've been articulating my experiences as transgender for ~1.5 years, and in that time my dysphoria's gone from relatively mild to much worse. Like the slight dissociative nausea I'd experience on sight of my face and upper torso and genitals has redoubled now that, while looking at it, I can name the things I want to see there instead. If I'd lived in a time when being transgender was unknown/maligned, I wonder if I wouldn't have felt just kind of distanced and nauseous and depressed all of my life, but ultimately lived with it. Now it occupies so much more of my attention.

>see a giant buffet of mouthwatering food that smells fucking delicious but for some reason I can't reach it
>REALLY REALLY REALLY want food
>Is hunger even real? Would I have ever felt it if I hadn't seen the food or would I have just been really tired and grumbly nibbling on dirt grubs all my life but ultimately living with it?
“It is empirically unreasonable to expect that someone who has been socialized male, has undergone a male puberty, is in all sense of the word anatomically male, can simply say, ‘I’m now a woman,’ and have the world recalibrate all of its autonomic algorithms about sex and gender and say, ‘Yes, you’re a woman,’ ”
How does this make you feel?

It makes me feel that "empirically" is used incorrectly in that passage.

Has anyone else on /lgbt/ read this book? The basic premise is the transition of early transitioner (began presenting and transitioning at 3) Nicole Maines. However, most of the evidence directed toward her supposedly "recognizing her gender" at an early age seem to be based on social constructed views of gender projected onto her by her parents (I'll post examples and excerpts below) who coaxed her into presenting female based on her "feminine interests". By the time Nicole begins seeing gender therapists at much later age her parents have already inducted her into presenting as a girl.
So what I was wondering is if you think it's possible to be "induced" into experiencing dysphoria and transitioning? Is gender really mailable and socializable to that extent?
Example one.
Kill yourself, spammer.

hi cara
i strongly recommend you read the book 'the man who would be queen' by j. michael bailey (yes, that j. michael bailey)
one of the sections at the beginning about the nature vs nurture aspect of gender should be really interesting to you
gender's innateness has been shown in many, many more cases than the reimer one
also, as you'll note from other aspects of the book, pre-transition nicole was certainly a very feminine boy who would have grown up to be at least gay and probably trans even if she didn't transition, and since its publication it's been found hsts women and feminine gay men are essentially the same evolutionary morph, and trans women are the PREFERRED morph -- so rather than being a gay boy pushed into transitioning, she's a girl who wasn't pushed into being a gay boy

Why are LGBT people afraid of the Trump presidency? Is it Pence specifically? Do they really expect a Gestapo-like door-to-door search to hunt down and exterminate them?
>>7392942
I'm not afraid, Trump even said he's ok with gay marriage
>>7392942
>Why are LGBT people afraid of the Trump presidency?
Most, at least on here, are not afraid but a little cautious. The president doesn't have that much power so his views in LGBT, which seem to keep switching, are not that much of a threat.
> Is it Pence specifically?
Yes but the VP has even less power. He's open, unapologetic, and has physically harmful solutions to what he considers an issue
>Do they really expect a Gestapo-like door-to-door search to hunt down and exterminate them?
If you do manage to find someone who believes this they will probably grow out of it after they finish highschool

because the affordable care act getting repealed means insurance companies are allowed to discriminate against transgender health care. the upkeep cost of transition can be expensive out of pocket without support from insurance. being poor and living pay check to pay check this could set my quality of living back a lot.
what's holding you back edition?

My only hope is to win the lottery on Tuesday and transition then find a qt beta bf and be a housewife.
what's holding you back?
>>7392435
I dont even have hopes anymore.
Sometimes I come to this board just to check things out but I just try to occupy myself with something so I don't go too crazy.
I live as a hermit already, never leave my room. Waiting for my mom to kick the bucket so I can kill myself without making her sad.
Hope you win the lottery anon, maybe you can sort things out and be happy.
>>7392496
I am in the same boat as you in regards to waiting for my mother to die, it's just me and her and my family is crazy small so once my grandparents die and my mom dies it will just be me left.... I consider suicide an option but I don't know if I would ever go though with it.
I have some sort of emotional issue keeping me from going to the doctor, a lot of anxiety, and mostly a crippling isolation that I retreat to when my depression is on the upswing, which is often. I am not really sure how to build meaningful relationships with people.
I moved away from my shitty family and came out to everyone I met when I got here but lately it just feels like a lot of effort to still end up lonely and unfulfilled.

Hey lgbt, my sexuality is kinda weird/unique, and I don't know if there's a word for it. I was hoping you could tell me.
I'm a male and I'm attracted to women. Simple enough so far. When I was a kid/teenager I wanted to be a girl and thought I was mtf trans. I hated my body and I hated being a man. However, the last couple years I've gotten more comfortable with my body and I am comfortable being a man now. But I'm still not comfortable with my dick. I don't mind having it like I used to, but I don't like using it for sex or having my partner go down on me. Basically I wish I was ftm trans.
Are there other people who feel this way? Is there a name for it? Most straight girls want the dick, but I don't want to give it to them. What do?
>>7390726
You are a straight man with a fetish.
>>7390738
What's the fetish?

I think your mistaking feminism with misandrism.
Feminism = Men and Women are equal
Misandrism= Women are superior to Men
Misogynism= Men are superior to Women
