I want to break down My ar15 but it won't separate. I popped out the lower pin and it should open and pivot at the front pin. But it doesnt budge, and I don't want to force it.
It's a brand new OMNI Ar15.
I want to clean it before I fire it.
What do?
>>28081236
Rack the bolt and try again
>>28081250
I racked it a few times. Could it be the buffer tube?
>>28081250
This. Did you dry fire it?
So I just got my armed security license and I'm needing to buy a gun this week. I'm currently carrying my Tiger LCP because I have the conceal carry endoursment on my license.Thinking about buying the S&W SD40VE as my duty weapon. I've read and watched reviews and they all say it's a decent gun, great for the price. Thoughts, suggestions?

Ruger* not tiger..
> LE REAL 10MM MEME POST
you gotta buy your own fucking firearm to guard the train tracks?
and idk my mom has one locked in its case with the ammo locked in a separate case and the magazine locked in a third case (not kidding) that she keeps for "protection".
apparently it's S&W's glock, so similar that glock gets paid royaltys for any units sold by S&W, so it cant be that bad.
I recently read that new versions of the Reaper can break 30 hours of flight time. At the same time it seems like most new UAVs and UCAVs being made can at least break 30, with many even getting into 40 hours of endurance.
That said, how does switching out crews work? Are there reserve crews ready to swap in after a certain hour mark if needed or is it a shift-type situation?
>>28081050
No, they outsource to India
>>28081050
I'm stationed at a base that has a reaper squadron, tho I don't work on them I know a cyber transporter and some pilots who do.
For each flight, there's a pilot and a sensor operator. Both work 8 hour shifts, after that shift they are relieved by another crew.
There are a dick ton of pilots and sensor operators for every bird, depending on the mission most flights don't go over the 24hr mark as there is really no need.
Now other agencies and branches operate drones also but that's all you get to know.
>>28081050
(At least for the controllers) Shift in and out almost like a normal 9-5 except you watch people that you might have to kill sometimes.
Idk about the lauch crew or maintenance, I imagine a lot of getting stuff ready and standing by to standby though

U fo real homie?
My life is shit. All I want to do is to die in an infantry charge while screaming some war cry like banzai or ura.
What can I do to make my dream come true? Do infantry charges still exist in modern warfare? Where, how, etc?
>>28080771
You just seriously, seriously lack fulfillment in your life.
Do something with yourself that you like, and you won't want to die in battle anymore.
>>28080793
If I wanted help I'd have posted this on /adv/.
Answer the question, anon.
>>28080810
Join the Kurds, or maybe even the British Army. The Brits still occasionally do bayonet charges in battle, while the US hasn't done a proper charge since Korea.
Better?
Why don't we just build more A-10's?
They're virtually perfect at what they do. Maybe just revamp the electronics a little and call it good.
They're useless outside of asymmetrical warfare. Not worthmaking new airframe for.
>>28080749
They're not versatile enough to be worth building more. We can keep using the ones we have because, hey, we already have them, might as well use them, but there isn't really any compelling reason to acquire more. Don't worry, the Hog will still be around until 2028. It still has plenty more work to do before it gets retired.
>>28080749
Unless a country has the balls to start a non nuclear global conflict, then the A-10 is not good anymore at its true role.
If WW3 did break out against USSR back when hog was conceived, then it would have destroyed T-72s. However with new asymmetrical warfare, we can't do much anymore.
Just got into a parking dispute with jerome that live in the pad accross the lot from me.

Are there any civilians radars that track military planes, like Flighttracker?
Is that illegal? Would you get bombed?
>>28080535
Perhaps I am retarded but for some reason I have always been under the impression civilian radar can't see aircraft rather it sees their transponders. As such, no, it couldn't see military aircraft that either don't have them/have them turned off
Is this correct?
>>28080535
FCC regs probably.
>>28080599
Well I mean in Syria for example. If some group set up a radar on Turkey's border or something and just "livestreamed" radar of the airspace.
Greetings /k/
Bought a 308 Miruko lever action rifle today. In 100% tip top condition. Only thing I can complain about is dust. lol. Not a single scratch in sight. 350$.
This is my second lever action purchase in 2 weeks. Now I'm looking for a 22. Lever action as well..
What do /k/ recommend?
>>28080443
Good for you glad you jumped on it, Browning BL-22s are pretty good. Only one of Henry's
>>28080474
I've been looking at the Browning BL 22. The price is not that bad. But I've been checking out Henry's too. It's either Browning or Henry I guess..
Can't really decide. Henry 22lr is way cheaper tho. But which one is better?
>>28080543
Personally I would go with the BL-22, If Uberti made a 1873 in .22LR I would buy it in a heart beat.
I'm going to place a bigass order on Varusteleka soon, does anyone want to group up to save on the shipping?

Why do so many of the cops responding to the San Bernardino shooting have Mini 14s?
because they arent assault weapons and are much safer than evil ar15s
Americans have absolutely terrible haircuts
so what is /k/ going to do with all their stockpiles of banned ammo after the ban on all AP rifle ammo is lifted in 7 days?
H.Amdt.341 — 114th Congress (2015-2016)

Can we discuss the Growler? A few questions:
- Is it replacing another plane or is it a new role?
- What other planes around the world fill this role?
- How important are they?
- What is the Air Force equivalent?
- Are they going to continue in service alongside F-35s, or will there be an F-35 version?
And I think it's very sexy. Discuss.
>>28080326
>is EW a new role
>is it replacing something
Nigger are you dumb? No, EW is not a new role. Yes, it is replacing the EA6B Prowler
>>28080361
Oh yeah I forgot about the Prowler. Why doesn't the air force have an equivalent?
What are foreign equivalents?
>>28080326
>Is it replacing another plane
Replacing the Prowler in the EW role.
>what other planes around the world fill this role
I am not aware of any other purpose built EW platforms currently in service.
>how important are they
They preform a SEAD role as well as jamming enemy radars to allow strike aircraft to carry out their strikes
>what is the Air Force equivalent
Jammers mounted on standard airframes. They had the EA-111 Raven but not anymore
>is it going to continue in service along the f-35
For as long as the Super Hornets do, maybe longer.
How are guns deadly?
All they do is hit you with tiny pieces of metal, they should just push you back a little.
How are knives deadly?
All they are is tiny pieces of metal, they should just push you back a little.
