I would but I have not enough money. Maybe once I sell one of my cars.

I wish. It's 2000. That's a couple hundred shy of an entire paycheck for me. (biweekly)

I could save for one, but it's more of a novelty. I hope that someone I know, or someplace I go has one that I can try out. This pattern of rifle should be special for anyone who appreciates the history of firearms.

How does /k/ feel about compact .357 revolvers for CC?

Also any opinions on pic related. I like the compact design buy it looks impossible to grip well.

>>28080127

Revolvers are twice as heavy and reloads take twice as long as a semi auto, which has twice the capacity. Anyone with a modicum of training can put more rounds of 9mm on target faster than .357 mag.
>>
>>28080127
Ive heard the ergos are actually really nice. Only problem is its space magic on the inside too
>>
>>28080127

.357 is shit through a snub nose. You get .357 kick for not that great of an increase in velocity, so just carry it with .38s

Strange that you would go for a DD for your first gun, how long did you need to wait for your approval?
>>
>>28080075

9/10

other 9/10s would have been any CZ-75 variant or any Springfield XD variant.

At 10/10 would have been of the pistole the US Navy as designated MarK such as the MK22, MK23 or MK25.

My first handgun was a TT-33, I'm now a Glock Owner, infact I have a G19 on my side right now.

Nice OP, I was thinking of doing this this year.

Reminder - the guns they are trying to take away are just toy guns in comparison with the guns they are already have and using on the population.

Personally I find every STG variant to be aesthetically sexy as hell. Even more so with rails to attach preferred sighting meathods, but don't know much about performance, especially newer models.

Still, sexy as all hell.

can someone explain bullet weights to me?
I know heavier bullet = slower, but harder to stop because muh physics
but for example, would I be better to go with buffalo bore 260gr deer grenades, or 325gr buffalo bore for a 5.5" ruger blackhawk? What are going to be the difference between the two in the real world?

>>
the 325gr is going to kick more
>>
>>28079849
will it hurt more for whatever it's shooting?
the 325gr is also flat nose, while the 260gr deer grenade is hollow point.

About the recent shooting. I am hearing arguments against the notion that "look, gun control doesn't stop these criminals, CA has the toughest gun control in the country and the criminals just disobeyed the law; more gun control will only hurt law-abiding citizens." The argument against this is "they could just go to another state and buy a gun there, and bring it back to CA."

I know gun laws vary state by state, but is this illegal? What sort of requirements are there on buying a gun out of state and bringing it back across the border with you?

>>28079680
Here in VT you need a picture ID with your home address on it, you can't buy if you're from out of state. You'd need to have it shipped to an FFL in your home state.

Mike Bloomberg still insists there's a thriving arms trade between VT and NY because fuck reality.
>>
>>28079770
>You'd need to have it shipped to an FFL in your home state.
So that means that any regulations from your home state would apply? California forbids you from having more than 10-round magazines, for instance.
>>
>>28080071
Yup. You might be able to convince an FFL in another state to ship a restricted gun to yours, but once your local FFL gets it they wont release it to you.

Most gun shops simply have a blanket "We don't ship to commie states" policy to avoid this.

If you had little bitch hands and wanted to buy a 9mm CZ-75, which variant would you get?

Also would you just buy a Glock 19 instead?

New to competitive pistol shooting here and was looking for some advice on keeping both eyes open while firing?

My problem is that if I focus on the front sight my target doubles and if I focus on my target my sights double. I know I'm supposed to focus on the front sight but I can only get the target to not double if I squint or close my left eye.

>>28079402
I trained a bit for this and then went back to one eyed. Basically, start one eyed and get focus on your front sight. Then crack the other eye open keeping focus. Dry fire and do your procedure. Then do it again. It may take a few days of practice but you will get used to it and start being able to spot your front sight on the way up with both eyes.

I switched back because I find myself more focused with one eye but that's just what works best for me.
>>
>>28079402
>I know I'm supposed to focus on the front sight but I can only get the target to not double if I squint or close my left eye.

If you're constantly trying to see your target and your front sight post you'll get vertical stringing. Put your sights on the target then focus on the front sight, trust that even though the target's just a fuzzy blob it's still there.
>>
Try squinting until you get the hang of it.

Anyone have experience with either rifles? I've heard positives and negatives about both.

Apparently the M74 does not have a chrome lined barrel, and the TGI does. They're both bulgi parts kits, but I just can't find as much information about the TGI's as I can about the M74s.

>>28079256
Can't say about the tgi, but the m74 is an OK rifle. Green mountain barrel with bulgy parts and iirc the receiver is a nodak spud just like the gp75's. But then they are built by century so inspect before buying
>>
Also, it might be worth adding:

The M74 comes with 2 bulgi mags, sling, oiler, and I believe a mag pouch.

The TGI comes with two crapco mags, and it may or may not have the cleaning rod.

>>28079631
Green mountain barrels are supposed to last quite some time, correct?
>>
>>28079665
GM barrels are decent, but not nearly as good as a cold hammer forged barrel. Just don't bumpfire
