Does anyone know how much does this zippo worth? My dad got it from an American soldier in the 1980s and the ship was struck in 1995.
Bump
it's worth about the same as any other zippo unless you can find a collector. So, I'd say about $20. but if I had lost one of my ship or squadron zippos I'd pay up to 450 to get a replacement.

Thank you, anon
Is there any forum online with zippo collectors?
So? All the lies about how gun violence isn't impacted by other state's gun laws. The lies about how lax gun laws in one state doesn't draw scum from other states. All bullshit.

notice the part where they were buying guns in hotel rooms? clearly not buying from licensed FFL's
>>28295830
Would you support harsh laws to target operations like this?
>>28295810
Are you posing a question or a statement? "So?" appears to be intended as a question, but there is no question really put forth, as it is followed by what is basically a statement. Are we expected to refute your statement, answer a non-existant question, or is this a poorly worded prompt to propagate discussion?
http://www.brooklyneagle.com/articles/2015/12/21/brooklyn-lawmakers-seek-tightly-restrict-sales-ammo-statewide
New gun law proposed by state senator and rep from Brooklyn would ban ammo purchases, nearly all of them.
It bans buying more then 2x your gun's capacity every 90 days. Since NY already has a 10 round mag limit you need a gun with a 10 round mag to even be able to get a box of 20 rifle cartridges. Pistol ammo would be banned because its sold in boxes of 50 or 100.
Let them, New York is lost.
>>28295772
:( I live here. If this passes nobody in NY will be able to buy ammo.
At that point Upstate NY would try to find some way to detach NYC from their state. Let them try. If people started enforcing laws up there regarding things like this then it would end the whole gun control policies in NY for quite some time.
Need some help deciding, /k/, just turned 18 in Florida and wanted to go out and treat myself to my first rifle (since pistols are restricted until over 21 years of age). I'm trying to decide between an M1 Garand bought online or an AR-15 bought in-store, since I only have money to buy one.
I love the look of the M1, and I'd like to have one that was actually used in WWII, but at the same time the AR-15 seems more versatile, since I can change out the upper receiver and have an entirely different weapon and caliber in an hour. Also, never shot 30-06 before, but I have shot 5.56 and .223 so I'm familiar with the handling.
Any opinions on what should I go for?
>>28295667
What is intended use/ purpose of the rifle you wish to purchase?
>>28295667
Garand first. AR's will always be floating about, and can be built piece at a time over weeks/months.
Garands are cool and only go up in value. I built my garand so I didn't care about resell value.
Like he said.. What do you want. If it's going to the range.. The m1 is expensive to feed. Mine is 308 so it is cheaper to feed plus I was reloading my own for while. At 18 I don't think you will have the time to commit to reloading, or funds to feed your m1.
If you want to throw a shit ton of parts at it.. Go with the ar
Hey guys!!! I need help with this bullet. The full lenght is 8.1 cm and the bottom is 1.2 cm

Do you have calipers? What's the diameter of the bullet (not the whole cartridge) and the length of the case?
That looks kinda like 7.5 french. Or maybe 7.92 mauser?

Alright /k/ what's your opinion on the Century Arms WASR-2? I'm looking for a cheap 5.45 and know that anything wasr is what I'm looking for but just wanted to get your opinions on said gun.
>>28295069
Well, they don't import WASR-2's anymore for starters.
Also, being a 74 pattern rifle it should have a 90 degree gas block instead of a 45 degree gas block-- something to do with bullet sheering whenever it passes the gas port in the barrel. But apparently the Romanians drilled their 45 degree gas blocks at a 90 degree angle to fix that issue or something to that extent. Don't know much about WASR-2's specifically honestly, but consider that this is a Century import and Century is known for all sorts of quality issues.

>Dreya MK10, Turkish magfed semi 12 gauge

Looks to me like the cheapest and most capable battle rifle available to Canadians is the SKS with some modifications.
Important features:
-semiautomatic
-takes magazines of 10 rounds or greater
-balanced for good pointability
-folding/sliding stock for easy transport in car/motorbike/skidoo/tractor/backpack
Arsenal refurbished SKS is $200
XCR mag adapter is $120
I haven't yet been able to find a stock that properly balances the SKS. Always too front-heavy. I've read that bullpup conversions do the trick, but I'd rather not and that's also illegal here. I think maybe a two-piece 3D printed stock with a steel sidefolder or H&K sliding stock would do the trick. For $400 you can get something almost as good as a VZ, which is $1000 and always out of stock.
>>28296076
Its the barrel that makes it front heavy more than anything else. Theres nothing much you can do to make it less front heavy. The only thing I can think of is getting a AR-15 compatible stock and putting a A2 on with lead weight in it and i'm not even sure if there are stocks that can use an A2 buffer tube.
>>28296076
>$400 and a shitload of work including access to a 3d printer
i'd rather just buy a vz58, they're easier to strip and clean, theyre lighter and more ergonomic, and are drilled and tapped for a side optic mount
Why have an underbarrel shotgun on a pistol? Is this thing even structurally sound? Would it break your frame?
Because Taurus probably has a patent on putting a shotgun IN the pistol.
Because why the fuck not.
And yes, it would probably work reasonably well as long as you replaced the hinge pin with a more beefy one (this one looks like a joke) and reinforced the bottom of the trigger guard. This looks like it would shake itself apart after a while.

I prefer an underbarrel .30-06
I just got a Ruger LCR .357 magnum for carry weapon.
>Hornady 140gr .357 personal defense hollow point loads.
Pretty power load in this light revolver. Has anyone shot .38+P vs .357 Magnum with an ultra light revolver?
General Revolver or Carry Weapon Thread!
My friend has the same revolver. It's the first gun I shot, he had me use 38 +p at first. When I switched to 357 it damn near blew the gun out of my hands. I have gorilla hands though, so I have a hard time holding that small of a grip.
>>28295035
I literally laughed out loud at your post. Thats the same thing that happened to me, the fucking .357 rounds blew the gun back into my hand between my thumb and my index finger, that webbing, felt like being punched hard there. Was way more than I expected, its manageable, but a lot of force. How much different is the recoil from the .38+P to .357 ?
>>28294977
I use gold dots in a 4.2 inch SP101. I'm not a poorfag, but I'm not a richfag either, so I thought that would be a nice hybrid between a full size GP100 and a snub nosed LCR, fun for carry and the range. And I was right.
Next purchase is likely going to be a Dan Wesson 715, but I think I'll want to keep it pristine too badly to carry it, even with the snub nosed barrel.

Okay, /k/, your general is instructing you to come up with a plan for an amphibious invasion of the continental USA and Canada through the East Coast. How do you do it?

You don't.
Alternatively, just nuke your own forces. It'll be faster to the same result.

You're better off just blowing up the entirety of your force. It'll end up the same way but be much faster.
is there something wrong with this picture, /k/?
it can technically work, but its just retarded in a practical sense.
