Why don't more people use shoulder holsters? Are they fedora-tier when compared to hip holsters?
>>28302204
The biggest problem is that you have to consistently wear a jacket in order to properly conceal the firearm. Also, when did any remotely impractical item automatically become 'fedora' tier? As long as you're not a dick about it, who cares?
>>28302294
Not OP, but I think fedora-core mostly refers to aesthetic abortions; dumbasses try to mix styles and levels of formality in their dress and lifestyle but fail badly.
>>28302333
I could understand that; wearing a shitty trilby with jean shorts will make you look like a tool regardless of your attitude.
Was the Stuka legitimately the best dive-bomber of the war? Or was just it a memeplane because of "MUH SCRY SIREN"?
>>28302185
I mean yeah it was the best dive bomber but thats not saying much so yeah it was just a meme plane.
>>28302185
Nah, im pretty sure if a B-29 pilot was komikazing that would of been the best dive bomber.
>>28302185
No, this was.
What's your very most favorite gun that YOU own?
WHY is it your favorite? Post a pic, if ya have one.
>pic very fucking related. Ruger sp101, it does most everything I could ask of a handgun.
My Colt-Sauer 25-06. It has and continues to kill most of the wild game I eat. And the gun and I have developed perfect faith and trust in one another.
It's my very first firearm I've ever purchased as an adult, I've put more rounds through it than any other that I own, I carry it practically everywhere and god forbid if someone were to break into my home tonight this will be the first thing I grab.
Well, hard to say exactly. My current infatuation is still my Model 41, it's probably already going to be an heirloom pistol for my son, although only one gun of mine doesn't have a price...
Whats /k/s take on 357 Sig ammo? I saw a Sig Sauer P320 on sale today, and I was wondering about it.
>>28302012
Any round that does not have widespread support from a military or LEAs is not worth investing in.
>>28302012
Personally for me, the only practical handgun caliber choices are 9mm and .45. If you need something stronger, get a rifle.
Seriously, all handgun calibers do nearly the same thing. It isn't worth the extra wear on the gun and ammo price hikes for such negligible results. Especially when you throw nerve damage in as a factor.
>>28302012
I'm not a fan. Not because of poor ballistic performance. Sure it kills people dead. But if you intend to use a firearm for self defense you should be shooting it a lot and 357 Sig is way expensive for zero advantage.
Especially if what you want is a P320. Get the 9mm version. Any money you save on the sale will easily be spent in your first 5 boxes of ammo.
>tfw born too late
>missed all combat deployments
>all i can do is read books and documentaries about it
Feels bad man...
Will be singing up in like 3 years, what's my best bet to see combat? SF and air force?
>>28301872
Boots will probably hit the ground again before 2020.
>>28301886
No way?
How would they even get public support? Isn't it just airforce + SF deployments?
>tfw probably around the same age as you OP
>tfw canadian
>tfw our whole military is going to shit
>fucking British made stricter rules and won't allow commonwealth citizens to join their military as easily
JUST
/nogunz/ here.
My grandpa passed a couple of years ago and left four rifles/shotguns in a gun cabinet in his basement that he used to take me hunting with when I was younger. My grandmother, being the strong independent womyn that she is wanted to get rid of them but is so scared of touching them that she is planning to actually call the police so they can drag them away. When I tell her that I will take them for her all I get is shrill yelling and incomprehensible noises.
So, because I'm here for the holidays and will be driving back to my home 1,000 miles away in about five days, I'm planning on taking the weapons and any left over ammo, from my count about 150 shotgun shells, without her noticing.
AFAIK these haven't been fired in about 15 years or so, they've sat in a damp basement since and have signs of surface rust. They're in a locked gun cabinet so I can't inspect further (planning to just take the entire fucking cabinet out of the house).
Should/can I clean/repair these enough to make them usable?
I believe there are two .22s of a brand I can't remember and two 12 gauge shotguns of a brand I can't remember.
Pic related: those guns
You gotta do what you gotta do. But keep in mind she can report them as stolen as well, though I doubt she has the info on them.

>an I clean/repair these enough to make them usable?
Oh yeah; only 15 years of neglect in a damp basement is unlikely to cause anything more than cosmetic damage. Use 100% pure copper wool (Chore-boy scrub pads work in a pinch) and gun oil to remove surface rust without harming the bluing. Use gentle, circular motions as you scrub it off.
>>28301790
GET THOSE GUNS. DO NOT SHAME YOUR GRAND FATHER. BREAK THE GLASS WITH TAPE.
I-I just saw this after seeing it on /k/ several times..

Who has better stuff?
>>28301451
I've only been to Cabela's because BPS isn't in my region. Cabela's gave me a credit card so they're awesome. Reasonable rates and all that.
>>28301451
Neither, sometimes one will have an ok deal on ammo
If you want to browse for guns, pawn shops are the way to go. Lots of interesting stuff, I love pre owned weapons.
>>28301475
Exact opposite for me, I love BPS
So what ever happened to it?
Any idea folks?
Has someone seeded it?

So how come infantry don't take pack mules with them in modern times? I can think of plenty of times when they would be extremely useful. aparently there is enough desire for them that Boston Dynamics is creating a robot donkey.
I know a bunch of people are going to respond "well, they have this limitation or that limitation", yeah, no shit they do, but just because of that it doesn't mean it's not still better than not having them.
Because they have these things called "helicopters" and "trucks" which is how they get to their FOB's and PB's.
Not enough CID to investigate all the new rape allegations.
>>28301280
pack animals can get places where those things can't, and make less sound. I can immagine they'd be useful for soldiers on an offensive, especially in mountains and jungles.

You are an allied NCO, and have been given a blank check from command to equip your six man squad with any commercially or militarily available weapon, including those captured from the enemy and prototypes, What do you choose?
>>28300532
>liquidate blank check into cash
>disappear into the alps with my squad and a harem of french qt's
Only nonretard answer.
>>28300547
It's a figurative blank check. You will provide a list to command and there purchasing agents and/or quartermasters will procure the arms.
