So I'm about to pre-order, how bad could it be?

Money isn't an issue, and all I'm concerned about is accuracy (to make it feel worth-while)

I'm thinking 300blk, N model with a scope. Any opinions?

Barrel Length: 16.1”
Overall Length: 37.5”
Weight: 11 lbs. 10oz
Barrel: 4150 QPQ; threaded

Was having correspondence with them, found out:

there is not a limited number of orders for this rifle. All priority pre-orders will be the first to ship out in June/July. After that we will be moving down the list to regular pre-orders which right now extends to September. All rifles come with the original scope mount that you will be able to easily attach a picatinny rail to. The wood furniture on the gun will be a linseed oil finish. There will be no bakelite on our weapons. We are still gathering information on the accuracy of all the calibers and we will release this information as soon as we organize it.

This was 5 days ago, which I pushed and got "we'll release the shooting data very soon"

Repro arms are low on my list.

But i would do one in 300blk

If you're going to get one of these, its got to be purely for collectors sake, so why not get it in 8mm Kurz

someone told me that if your rifle is under 18 inches then your range and accuracy will be so bad you might as well get a pistol. is there any truth to this or was he a fuderooni?

Fud lore.

I got some pictures of my grandpa's photo album from his time as an airborne cartographer in the Pacific. Can anyone help me identify his plane? I can dump more if there's an interest.

Are these good? I want some sort of semi automatic rifle. Should I just get an AR instead? I'd rather not spend more than $800, but if there's a compelling reason to, I can.

If you want an HK clone get a PTR, the C308 is well known for meh build quality and reliability issues.

>should i just get an AR

if this will be your first semi auto rifle, yes. that or an AK
>>
No, drop 200 more and get a PTR if you're set on that style of rifle.
>>

lol. PTR builds half the fucking rifle anyways.

But honestly, spend the extra 2 bills and get a PTR. They actually have a paddle mag release and the final assembly isn't done by drunk monkeys. but if you're a poorfag, then just beware.

OP is trying to find a good autoloading rifle in somthing similar to .270. I'm looking want something that can go through level III+ armor for no more than $1.20 per round. A rifle is useless if you can't afford to shoot it. $2500 price range.

How does the USAF fail to shoot down let alone fail to quickly respond to the attacks on 11th September 2001 ?

Four ( 4 ) airliners, some of which had transponders operating flying over a primary radar zone. From first failure to respond at 0814 it took until 0834 for CIVILIANS to notify the military that something was wrong. F15's were only in the air at 0853 ( 7 minutes after the first place hit WTC). This was a 19 minute response from notification by civilians.

In the 10 minutes that F15's were airborne until the second plane hit WTC - no attempt was made to vector the F15's towards the other plane - because civilians were too busy talking about the first plane to inform the military. The F15's were supersonic and would of arrived at NYC in 8 mins.

It was arond 0915 when the order to launch F16's from Atlantic city.

at 0925 the F15's began a CAP over NYC.

The third flight (77) was missing at 0855, FAA was notfied at 0925 - it took them until 0935 to inform the military. two minutes later the plane hit the pentagon.

Flight 93 went missing from radar at 0928 and screaming was heard on the radio along with the threat of a bomb. it took until 0949 for ATC to decide if they should call the military - 4 minutes after it crashed into a field.

Why does the US not rely on it's military to track air traffic and self notify ?

And how could the second plane be allowed to fly into WTC while its transponder was on and aircraft were armed and in the air - in range.

Conspiracies pls go to /pol.

As a side note, the RAF has been responsible for QRA (Quick Reaction Alert) since WW2 with the military being in charge of tracking and identifying civilian and military targets.

While all countries will have made changes after 11-09-01, was the US just rusty (read as new) at defending its own airspace ?

Here's a cool news piece on QRA if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hijzP1zzLI

They are entirely different animals.

If you're even considering a G43, it's cause you have or want to conceal carry. It's possible to carry a G19 for concealment, but not ideal.

Get a G26, it'll be more versatile. I have a 19 and the 26 is my favorite. I just shot both today.

'aight, /k/, need a bit of help.

Long story short, buddy owes like 3.5k to the IRS, so he's selling all his guns He promised me this autoshotgun, claims he only got it for like, $260 out the door, and I only saw it once. He's been dark for like, two months now, so I can't get hold of the fucker cause he works almost 24/7 as a limo guy, so I come to you since I can't get hold of him

Physically designed like an AA12, about 2.5-3 inches less width around the barrel, bore, and foregrip

5 rounds, breach-load

Turkish

I'll know it when I see it. Pics or a name, plz.

I really don't know much more than that, I gave the country or origin and load mech. Aside from that, there really isn't much to go on. Still searching.

Now that I remember, the model was said once,

Short, about 12-10 in barrel, thick on the stock, has one of those boxy stocks, like you'd find on a P90. has a bunch of tac rails. Model started with a U or V, I think.

What are the arguments against this weapon other than being too expensive.

It's no more accurate than a regular AR 10 with a good barrel, and its got a piston so it doesn't mitigate recoil as well. Due to the design of it being an AR the piston also tends to beat the bolt carrier up. It's still a pretty good rifle, all things considered.
>>
>>29539705
I would say the increased reliability cancels out the recoil problem. Also if I am not mistaken the whole AR piston beating itself to death really only applies to half ass systems. The HK system which was designed from the ground up to be piston does not suffer from these issues.
>>
>>29539705
>its got a piston so it doesn't mitigate recoil as well

According to someone who owns far more AR pattern 7.62 rifles than you, the MR762 is one of the softest shooting rifles available.

Guys! I have gone out and bought my first gun for $850. I got the 10 clips of ammo free, but they said I had to Garand finger myself. But I got free ammo and my hand hurts. Also the number on the buttstock is 320. Don't know if there is any relevance in that number. Did I do good /k/?

Sup /k/

Been tossing around the idea of moving to Chicago in the future. I know its one of those meme gun law cities but I'm trying to figure out how bad it really is.

Any fellow /k/omandos out there in Chiraq right now? Whats it like and how many guns do you have with you there?

I'm not super democrat or republican so I'm sure political crap wouldn't bother me. I'm from Ohio where almost anything goes so I assume this is gonna be a little bit of a change for me. Does Chicago have CCW and will mine transfer over?

While discussing locations for the summer Cali meet with brzfag on Slack, I discovered that we might totally be able to take over an old ghost town for a weekend and go shooting nearby. This idea made my dick diamonds instantly. The town was abandoned in the 50s and consists of a 3-story hotel building that remains in great shape and several smaller cabins and buildings in various stages of disrepair, in addition to tons of old mining structures and equipment, and is known for 2spooky happenings and awesome hiking.

>So what's the catch?

I have no idea whether it can happen or not, but it looks like the stars might just align in time for a meetup in late June.
There are usually visitors, but not in the national park sense, the place is very loosely regulated but campers and the like stop by on the weekends.
A scouting meetup is planned for the 29th of April (Date may change) for the day to locate good shooting spots within 1/2 mile of the town and how many of the structures are suitable for stalker'ing.

>Where the fuck is this?

The middle of fucking nowhere in Norcal. Draw a triange between Redding, Sac, and Reno and it falls in the mountains of Plumas county. There's literally no major towns that I can point out nearby.

>So what's the plan?

The scouting meet on the 29th will find out if the site is suitable, and report back with pictures and maps, I will call up the local ranger rick and make sure everything we'll be doing is on the level, and then the final date, schedule, and information gets released along with what needs to get brought to make sure we all have a good time.

I was thinking about islands being considered 'unsinkable' aircraft carriers and I was wondering. The main drawback is that the islands are immobile, but there are a ton of small little islands scattered around the Pacific, right? Couldn't you install large screw propellers into one of them and get it mobile so you could convert one into a mobile aircraft carrier? There'd be huge benefits to having a "ship" that couldn't be destroyed or sunk, and could field large numbers of carrier attack groups.

How did I not think of this?

Islands are connected under the water to the continental plates. They aren't just floating there. If this was possible we could have made california into an aicraft carrier before the rot set in.

Brits are already on it.
