Germanfag reporting in. I wonder if anyone of you /k/-fags can give me some advice. I really dig the 9mm Sig Sauer P226 (like the way it shoots, the trigger, the placement of buttons and stuff, the quality) BUT it's quite expensive. Soo - any similar 9mm you would recommend? Has anyone shot one of the plastic-Sigs in comparison? Thank you kind people of planet /k/.

Let's get a shotgun thread started, I'm going to buy my first soon.
Got a question though. The main purpose of the gun's gonna be home defense, and hopefully some 3Gun (once I get all the kit), but would like to be able to hunt and shoot clays with it occasionally. With this in mind, do I need to get a model with adjustable chokes, or can I do all that (albeit not as well) with a cylinder bore?

Looking at a single-stack 9mm for summer CCW. Is the shield still the recommended choice?

I've felt and dryfired it at a lgs, people complain about trigger being terrible but I don't mind it. I couldn't find a glock 43 to compare the shield but is there any other options I should look into before buying?

Between the shield and glock 43 I'm still leaning towards the shield even though I own more glocks. The shield's capacity is higher, the base price is lower, and there's already a lot of aftermarket support for the shield (apex triggers, holsters, sights, etc.)

My university has put into place a policy for the new campus carry law going into effect August 1st. I have been reading it over the last weeks, and the only thing that I am upset about is the fact that you aren't allowed to carry with one in the pipe. This is the school's determination, not part of the law.

Is there any way to argue against this stipulation? I read over the bill text and couldn't find any specific language that might say otherwise, but I definitely feel like this rule is a hindrance to legal concealed carriers.

While on the topic, for those who carry condition 1 what would you do in this situation?

I feel like I should carry with one in the chamber anyways despite the regulation. There should be no reason I would be forced to hand over my gun for inspection, but under the rare hypothetical circumstance that shit goes completely wrong and I'm dealing with the police, will the fact that I was carrying with one in the chamber effect me in the eyes of the law?

Getting expelled is the least of my worries. I just don't want to go to jail, lose my rights, or be ruled unjustified over a technicality if there's an incident.
