It's the real deal apparently.
As an american citizen, how would I go about joining the VDV? Do they accept foreign fighters, and what are their standards? I'd join the american army but I strongly prefer the AK weapon platform, and want the chance to be in an elite unit.

vaguely /k/ and /fa/ related. i have recently learned there is a shooting club not very far away from my city. think country club, but centered around hunting, skeet/clay/trap. they have fox hunts, go fowling, turkey and pheasant, et c.
it is not cheap, at all. at the club you effective step back in time to the 1930's. cars, women, cigars, et c. one guy drove a stutz bearcat, and they have more than one Purdy gun available for "loan" to new club members.
along with the wardrobe, most are older types, and are pretty friendly. a coworker introduced me and i'm thinking of applying as a member.
is this typical of gun clubs? all the clubs i know of are just dudes that do hunting now and then and have a club house where they bitch about zoning on their trap range out in the hills.
pic is related, this is what they dress like and more or less how the entire club is (about 20 members).
No, this is not normal at all - save for the focus on sporting instead of target shooting. Sounds neat though.
>>29921075
you think it's worth joining? this club dates back to the 1920's as far as i've been able to find out. local judge was a member in the 60's even.
the entry fee is affordable yearly, but isn't small at all. here's some stuff you can get from joining:
1. access to the club house, grounds, hunting properties and lodges, reduced or free equipment rental
2. access to club owned tools or shop equipment
3. seasonal hunting excursions
4. reduced taxidermy and upholstering services
5. reduced gunsmithing and fitting services
6. access to club dinners and events
they own the nicer of the two local shooting ranges and i was curious about getting access to the skeet range which was "members only" which was when i started asking around.

THIS!
Be suspicious of time travel!
Did Ruger discontinue the SR series? I've looked everywhere and cannot find any of them. I've asked several gun stores about ordering one and they said their distributors are out as well. I talked to one guy who told me that Ruger hasn't "officially" discontinued the SR series, but that they've essentially been discontinued because they aren't making them anymore and are trying to sell the Ruger American as a replacement.
I bought my SR40C less than two months ago, and there were several other SR series Rugers on the shelf beside it.
Dunno what to tell you, m8
Depends where you live, Ruger SR-Series fell off the roster in California a long time ago.
I haven't really looked at these new in a long time, but I see them constantly on the used shelf.
SHIT LOADS of people bought these as a first carry gun
Bought this three weeks ago for $365, it's my first gun. Been wanting one of these for the longest time, there's just something about them that makes them so attractive to me. Anyways, if you own some, post 'em.
Some more pics of my 5906. I'm sure I could have found one with less scratches and dings, but it was being sold close to me so I said fuck it. Any ideas on how I can refinish it myself?
Here's the condition of the sights, is this acceptable?
looks nice OP, have you shot it yet?
How many magazines did you get with it?
The rear sights looks kinda dinged up a little bit though
Buyers remorse, /k/ edition.
Pic related. This SOG is a POS.
I bought a 4chan gold account..
The SOG Jungle Canopy is a lot better than that. Can't you still return it?
Agreed op. Wanted it for camping. Its garbage. Got a jungle primitive in a contest. 9001x better and short.
Basically, as the title states the marines are upgradeing ALL of their c130s and intend to upgrade their V-22s to the Harvest HAWK standard.
This adds an EWAR pod and, more importantly, a sensor ball with laser designator. This will allow hellfires, and viper strikes (currently, in the future APKWS, basically guided hydra rockets), to be on the platform, allowing a right place right time instant strike, along with route recon.
The Tiger EWAR pod provides both defenseive and offensive jamming capabilities, and is integrated to units on the ground, allowing them to control it.
This is wonderful, as it adds gunship capabilities to both airframes, and allows massive mission flexibility. C-130 in the area? Can provide interm support until fast movers arrive. V-22s can soften up LZs on their own.

>>29920635
Of course, even without the weapons the sensor ball and jammer is great to have for current missions. C-130 can get though hazardous landing conditions better and the V-22 can survey LZs.
They are also adding it to the Viper and Venom helicopters.
>>29920635
I thought the V-22 Osprey was being replaced by the one that looks like a black hawk, but VTOL and dosen't crash all the time?
>>29920715
Thats the blackhawk replacement. 2 different birds with 2 different (but simular) roles.
The V-22 is actually one of the safest airframes the marines inventory. You fell for meme.
So, this happened.

How do I clean this canteen /k/? It sat for atleast 7 or 9 month's with half drank water in it. Currently I filled it with water and Palmolive and shook it around, will that do?
Use hot water and two tablespoons of bleach or baking soda. Fill it up and give it a good shake. Let it sit in there for 30 mins or so. After that time has passed, use hot water and dish soap to clean out the baking soda or bleach residue. Keep the top off and air dry.
>>29920171
So I can just use baking soda no bleach?
>>29920533
No, you've got to drink the bleach and then swish around the baking soda.
Hey guys, just got back from the doctor and they've told me I have leprosy.
At this point they told me it's highly resistant to any medication they have given me and I can expect to lose the hand and die of this.
My family have distanced themselves from me these past few weeks saying they don;t want to get infected, the only real time I get a call from them if once a week for an update and to speak to my niece who isn't old enough to understand why I can't take her to the park/shops any more.
Other than leaving the house to pick up my medicine and shoot in the back yard/pick up ammo, browsing and shitposting on /k/ has been something keeping me cheery these past few weeks and I wanted to thank you all for that, your not a sanitized or serious place to talk about the hobby of weapon collecting but you are a laid back and funny bunch of guys who have some quality banter with one another.
When this first started I said to myself I would set out two plans I could use if I had leprosy. Plan number one was to walk out into the woods near where I am do you know what. During a walk to find an area appropriate I thought of another way. I didn't want to ruin anyone's day (the neighbour who would find me, the cops cleaning up) So I thought of just walking into a national park with some camping gear and a rifle and living out my days there.
I just wanted to say goodbye to you guys for keeping me happy in a time where I should be anything but. Despite what what people think of this site and board I think you do good because you kept me going.
After this post I'm going to make my mind up on what plan I'm going with. I think the local park would be nice, It's looks beautiful at night.
Good hunting guys.
Shouldn't have eaten that armadillo.

If you're still here and this isn't bullshit sneak into shitty desert and remove ISIS while you fall to pieces. also some humor because why not

https://www.varusteleka.com/en/news/oh-yes-m05-camouflage-pattern-loses-its-protection/_5732c199
FDF has decided not to renew M05's protection again and it expires in September, and Varusteleka is already preparing for the day, meaning that in less than five months /k/ommandos will be able to buy M05 -clothing. Is this awesome?
Is that an AR CTR stock on an AK? I'm confused.
>>29920107
2 minutes and 17 seconds and the thread is already derailed, well done /k/...
it's a prototype Rk 62M, FDF is modernizing its standard issue rifle Rk 62, design of which dates back to 1960, there are few designs going through trials to see which is the best solution, basically they are adding telescopic stocks, side rails for mounting optics and, possibly, some picatinny rails on handguard.

Hello /k/, currently in the great state of Texas and have just leased onto my own apartment, currently in a low income area of Austin. Blood, sweat and 2 minimum wage jobs, along with community college have been my current situation. But I have an amount of 600$ too ensure muh "safetys" against unwanted threats, I can legally own a handgun/ammo at 19 but can't directly buy considerably, I do enjoy the fn 9mm, but any other suggestions for a young buck in a very dangerous and big world?
>>29920059
>I can legally own a handgun/ammo at 19
Yes and no.
Technically it can be in your "possession". Best example would be your father "giving" it to you. That's your best bet. It's not a straw purchase if it's a gift. Find a family member.
>>29920078
I don't understand that law at all.
like, is one deadlier than the other somehow?
rifles have more firepower and any retarded 18 year old can get one.
but nooo, the scurry handguns can only be bought after 21.
