What's /k/s favorite fantasy weapons? Even the laughably impractical ones?
>>30359559
300 win mag bullpup with a vector style bolt and a reciprocating barrel to absorb recoil.
>>30359589
Wait I read that wrong. I thought it said come up with a weapon.
My favorite fantasy weapon is probably that big ass revolver in BF2142

It's between pic related and the Bolters from 40k
So I'm under the impression that you can't import autos into Yanksville, but you can sell new autos in a few states. What do you slags have to say about it?
Pic not related
Samefag here- is it federal law or relegated to the states?
>>30359535
>you can sell new autos in a few states
lolno
>>30359535
>but you can sell new autos in a few states
its against federal law but its legal at the state level in Alaska and a couple other states IIRC, so it would take a federal ATF/FBI case to properly shut you down.
and shut you down they will, since doing so is a guaranteed minimum sentence of 10 years in prison for each charge.
Hey guys let's post our gunsafe codes lol.

>>30359177
About the same, Can be smoother and faster if well built. IF poorly designed and able to be put together wrong, dangerous. Some of them, if you put it together wrong won't cam into the lock properly but will still fire. Bolt in your face is a bad way to start a day at the range.
Hey, im thinking about buy a new fun from gunbroket, but im not sure if i can pass the 4473 because ive been arrested for a dwi, and goy deffered judification, so im on probation for a few more months, will i get fucked if i buy it now? Also i guess ian Thread

For me, I like weapons that don't rely on government or an organized society.
A weapon is something that you should be able to construct and operate whether 2000 years ago or 2000 years from now.
Even though these weapons don't rely on specialized industries to manufacture and maintain, it doesn't mean the weapon is primitive or ineffectual.
Are there good guides or manuals or essays about using knives or bows in modern warfare?
>>30359143
nobody uses bows in modern warfare.
There was that British fella that charged up the beachhead st Normandy with a claymore sword and later took out a sentry with a longbow. Forget his name. Guy was a major douchebag and got his comrades ambushed because of bagpipe playing, if I remember right.
>>30359143
>Even though these weapons don't rely on specialized industries to manufacture and maintain, it doesn't mean the weapon is primitive or ineffectual.
Yes it does.
>Are there good guides or manuals or essays about using knives or bows in modern warfare?
No.
This is fucking stupid. Stop being stupid. Government and organized society are not needed for firearms. The conquistadors were able to make gunpowder upon landing in the new world. We're never reverting to a point where bows are practical.
Even if that shit was necessary, it's never going away. Ever. Get over it. Even the worst shitholes on earth have more AKs than people. Time moves forwards and not backwards.
Any police officers on /k/?
>no lying on the internet edition
When I get pulled over, An i show my drivers license what do its all show? Does it show I have a CCW? Does it show I got arrested in 2010 for reckless driving or when i got arrested out of state in 2006 for smoking the devils lettuce in my campus parking lot and drinking in public. Does it show out of state traffic/criminal things or just in state? Does it show every time you've encountered that person?
I've always wondered because the times I've been stopped for traffic violations I get varied encounters. Sometimes the police immediately ask if i have a weapon (also why i wondered if it showed i have a CCW when they run my plates or after i give them my license) an some just either give me a ticket without much talking or just ask me if i have anything illegal in my car.
But the 2 times I've been stopped and armed I immediately tell them before they can say anything and roll down all my windows to show no one else is in the car and keep my hands on the 10 and 2 until i finish what im saying. Then ASK.if its ok to move my hand to get my CCW and drivers license. I would encourage others to do the same, its less stressful for me and im sure its a lot less stressful for the officer too
>>30358978
>Does it show I have a CCW?
Depends on the state.
>Does it show I got arrested in 2010 for reckless driving
Arrested or convicted? If it's a conviction then that definitely shows up on name or license plate check.
>arrested out of state in 2006 for smoking the devils lettuce in my campus parking lot and drinking in public.
Generally won't show out of state convictions unless they ask to run your name through the federal database. Conviction or just an arrest?
>Does it show out of state traffic/criminal things or just in state?
Usually only in-state unless there's some reason that makes them dig deeper and check with the feds like your face or clothing matching a recent robbery or burglary suspect.
>Does it show every time you've encountered that person?
Yes, it shows how many times you've been stopped by the department in the past 6 months?/year?/5 years?, so you can't worm your way into getting off with a warning every month. You can definitely wear out their patience.
>Sometimes the police immediately ask if i have a weapon (also why i wondered if it showed i have a CCW when they run my plates or after i give them my license) an some just either give me a ticket without much talking or just ask me if i have anything illegal in my car.
Depends on their mood that day. If they let a kid play with their car during lunch break or just won a bar bet with the others in the shift they generally will be less of a rude asshole than if they wrapped up their third domestic violence arrest or a really nasty child abuse arrest that they have to forget at the bottom of a vodka bottle. Guess which one is more likely if you live in a huge city or a small town.
Some ask immediately just to quiet down the little gremlin in their mind screaming "TODAY IS WHEN YOU GET SHOT DEAD". A majority of police feel better if they know you CCW because you have a clean-ish criminal history.
Remember to turn the interior lights on at night.
>>30358978
This all varies from state to state.
>Does it show I have a CCW?
Almost certainly yes.
>Does it show I got arrested
Yes, unless you were arrested out of state for a violation-level offense (as in, not a misdemeanor or arrest)
>Does it show out of state traffic/criminal things or just in state?
Most states share criminal information, some share traffic information.
>Does it show every time you've encountered that person?
If there's a papertrail, yes. This includes written warnings.
>I keep my hands on the 10 and 2 until i finish what im saying. Then ASK.if its ok to move my hand to get my CCW and drivers license
Yes, this is a good idea. I hate it when I see people reaching for things in their car, leaning over to their glove box to get their insurance/registration/etc, reaching into their pockets, etc - if your hands stay in sight, it's much safer for the cop, and in turn, much safer for you.
If your car's registered to your name, it probably pulls up all the same information as your driver's license, by the way, including CCW. If you're in a must-inform state, you know what you have to do. Even if you don't have to, most cops appreciate it, and it's a clear sign that the guy behind the wheel likely isn't a perp.
What is /k/'s opinion of mutually assured destruction?
Not enough destruction

Congrats hazguns. I'm gonna spring for a g19 for my concealed carry one of these days, so if you want some validation for your decision there ya go.
>>30358777
Thanks and that's cool. Originally I was going to go with the 43 then get a 19, but I'm the average below middle class male so I went with the 19. It may be a bit more of a pain in the ass to carry but whatever, the 19 will do pretty much everything I need in one gun.
I'll be getting an Aliengear 3.0 (mainly for cost reasons) this week. Already have my carry permit. As for home defense I'll just buy a Maverick 88 and call it a day. Right now my priority is to move out with my girlfriend (who I'm taking to the range for the first time next week) so I'd rather save my money for the time being. /blog
Florida here and I have snakes in backyard.I'm preparing to either kill or relocate them.
My current tools are a coat hanger duct taped to a pool cue and the wooden stick from a broom.
Am I ready? If not what are some things I could make?

Guns for gun ranged but what about if you want to brush up on some knife/machete ect. for whatever reason?
Cut watermelons and bottles of water in your backyard.
Or start classes at a boxing gym and do something for yourself.
unless you know a good Martial Arts group, i'd not bother with it because of the sheer amount of mcdojos. boxing and wrestling will teach you a lot about grappling, guarding and throwing a punch.
if you want to learn how to use a machete, try basic saber. Alfred Hutton was one of the best in his era.
http://www.thearma.org/pdf/ColdSteel.pdf
but even if you know you're guards. if you can't swing with good edge alignment, you won't be doing much.
Although every mall ninja with a McDonalds paycheck swings at bottles without any real idea why. they make good targets to tell whether your Edge Alignment is good.
