Don't do this, if a thread comes up with a specific question it should be answered in that thread, don't force your attention whoring circle jerk on others

This thread gets slow sometimes. The last one went for 3 days, that's why OP put it in there.
Why are European military berets always trim, well-shaped and professional-looking, while American berets are always outsized, floppy, and sloppy-looking?
And where can I get a line on some quality Euro berets, so my uniform looks STRAC?
For some reason ours have that massive ugly patch on them instead of a neat metal badge
>implying they actually are
Because Americans wear their uniforms for more than just ceremonies and EU rimjobs.

Good luck, they're hard to find now. I couldn't believe it when I saw the price, especially since it included the top rail. It's a great gun though and I really hope FB Radom manages to get through the ATF's bullshit.
>>30306617
I would imagine anymore than say, $1100 is getting fucked, would you say? I see them pop up on akfiles now and then, but I'm hoping to stumble on onw locally one of these days.

How was your bullet guide intalled on your Saiga ?
"why did nobody answer my question?" edition
so, as a member of a country who is a part of the "visa waiver program", I´m allowed to buy a gun in the US?
I´m reffering to this text from the ATF
> https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/does-prohibition-receipt-and-possession-firearms-and-ammunition-aliens-nonimmigrant-visa
my second question is, if I´m a nonimmigrant alien (student) with a nonimmi-visa (student visa "type F") my only chance to own a firearm is by applying for a hunting license
BUT
if I´m from a country taking part in the VWP (see above) there is a special rule which I do not understand
here is the text I´m reffering to
> https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/can-nonimmigrant-alien-obtain-waiver-prohibition-shipping-transporting-receiving-or
> "Yes. An individual may apply to ATF for a waiver. [18 U.S.C. 922(g)(5)(B) and 922(y)(3); 27 CFR 478.11 and 478.32]"
I´m a bit confused now
from my understanding
> go to visit the US for 90 days
> VWP country
> go inna gunshop
> buy fun
> go study abroad in the US
> get hunting license
> go buy funs
> go study abroad in the US
> come from VWP country
> apply for waiver
> go inna funshop and buy stuff
pls help
Bumping with question for anyone who's ever gone through spoopy CIA field training or whatever its called. I've heard they teach you how to pass as either sex, what tips do you have for being more masculine/feminine?

Mandic still didn't made the new thread and 5 Stars is still missing.
Early reports:
- The Great North Aleppo Ping Pong Tournament continues, as the Rebels recaptured two villages Ahmadiyah and Tell Battal, still heading towards Tall Ahmar, while ISIS regained hazal, Dudiyan and Yani Yaban. The Rebels and ISIS fighters have totally lost the control over their lifes, over there.
- On East Ghouta, according to SOHR; "SAA regain all points which lost yesterday in farms of Janath Harash & Maliha in Eastern Ghouta". The pro SAA source, Hassan, aslo commented that Rebels have "reportedly fired 'toxic materials' onto an SAA position" in East Ghouta region.
- In Latakia, reports are saying that the SAA is still advancing in the Turkmen moutains, near the Turikish border, making some gains.A wild twitter account that i never seen/used before is commenting that: "Strange things happening in Latakia, Turkish army has closed lots of army posts & moved trucks&buses used for reinforcements", "Turkmen accounts are speaking of treason from political & army officials. As a result "rebels" are mass-retreating in Latakia", "Things are getting worse for "rebels" in Latakia's Kurdish mountains: militants attempted to escape to Turkey which denied them entrance". Dunno if it is trustworthy;

- In the Manbij area, the SDF/YPG have retaken some positions lost to ISIS in the last days, west of the city. The Manbij Militar Council also announced that the operation to storm the city itself will start in the following days.
- In the Syrian deserts that borders Iraq, reports that the Ruaf or Syaaf have hit New Syrian Army positions in al-Tanf, border cross city in rif-Damascus, killing or wounding some of their member. The NSA sources confirm this. Also on this topic, unconfirmed reports that the NSA will wage an insurgency operation against ISIS in Deir ez zor.
And to finish up; the PMU official sources, trust it or not, are saying that they have reached the Government Council building, in the centre of the city. In last days, the Iraqi forces have declared that they have been advancing inside the city from south and north. 5 Stars was covering the Fallujah battle more tham me, and I know too little of all details to give my opinion.

is there a thin red line for firemen or EMT?
does /k/ ever feel sad thinking about how close melee combat was destroyed with the introduction of modern firearms?
>>30371603
Fuck no. With the modern workload I don't have time to be fucking around with an duels or defending myself in a lengthy sword battle with some nog. I'd rather quickdraw my sidearm and be done with it so I can make dinner and get 2 hours of free time before I have to hit the hay.
>>30371660
your ancestors died drawing blades together against foes and for what, your 2 hours of fapping to anime? i hope you get axed in your sleep for showing such a lack of pride.
I like how even the fittest and best trained fighting men can be easily killed by some idiot gangbanger with a gun.
My friend wanted to get into shooting, so I brought him to a range (first hit is free)
All was going splendidly until he chambered a 30-30 in my sks when I wasnt looking, and jammed the round so far forward I cant pull it straight out.
The round was high brass, so I dont expect damage to the barrel, but what would be the best, idiot-proof way, of getting the round out beyond shoving a rod in the barrel and potentially damaging the barrel/chamber?
pls halp
Load her up and pull the trigger
>>30371584
Wooden rod and a rubber mallet.
Then use the mallet on friend
>>30371584
30-30 is pretty much x39. Just chamber it, fire it, and use the cleaning rod to get it out. The fucking SKS wont get hurt.
I'm looking to get a do-all center fire bolt action rifle but am having trouble deciding on a caliber.
I have a Savage Model 25 in .223 but want something with more firepower. Even with a good .223 load, it has a 1:12 twist rate which causes heavier bullets to key hole and shoot inaccurately.
I also have a Mosin Nagant but want something chambered in a modern cartridge with better accuracy.
A panic-proof and decently common caliber is preferred.
>TLDR - Want a powerful bolt action rifle that isnt a nugget. What caliber do you suggest and why?
>>30371560
.338 Lapua Magnum
/thread
Any decent .308 will handle most anything you're looking to do at common distances.
Savage, ruger, tikka are all liked rifles.
.25-06 is pretty good 125 grain bullet that is .257 inch diameter moving at 3000 feet per second if using basic load and possibly faster using better and more propellent
I want a semi auto rifle that is dmr levels accurate but also capable of taking down north American game.
I have a psl, fn fal, and m1 garand.
I am wondering if it is more financially sound to modify one if my rifles for the role or simply buy a new rifle that can already perform in the role for me.
>>30371441
Just put a scope on the FAL?
PSL is fun but not nearly as accurate.
Don't touch that Garand.
>>30371453
this
>>30371453
I would agree except the FAL is already heavy and, with the weight of a scope, think about if that's what you want in a hunting rifle.
SCAR-17 or an AR-10 build can get the weight down, maybe even a Keltec RFB or a DesertTech MDR, but it's not going to be easy to get a battle rifle down to hunting weight.
How viable would Reinhardt-esque power armor be in real life combat? i imagine with a hard light shield and strong armor plates soaking up bullets would be pretty decent until they pull out larger caliber guns or anti-tank.
plus with a big melee weapon (lots of reach and lots of force) while being somewhat impervious to small arms would make you a walking slaughterhouse and great at demoralization (of course he is too heavy and relies on a sci-fi shield and a rocket powered hammer but please tell me the actually usability of a melee-centric power armored soldier)
>>30370952
There is no viability for an armored melee centric soldier.
Go back to /m/.
>>30370952
Oh you poor soul.
You should've stayed in /v/, now they're going to come pouring out of the walls.
>>30370952
If power armor was feasible, then it would be even more feasible to use a bigger gun rather than fuck around with a hammer
CS rep told me the buffer/spring/extension are made by DPMS and High Standard (Both of which are pretty low end manufacturers IMO)
Does it really matter?
>>30370756
as long as its not some random shit from china, no it doesnt matter.
>>30370756
I really only worried about it when I was making an AR pistol. Some tunes don't fit the sig brace well. I went with one from Midwestern (I think that's the brand) because they had it measured out exactly for the brace.
I also used a heavier buffer since I was using a shorter barrel.
>>30370756
Extension is fine, sometimes the finish can be janky but it's a fucking tube, if it screws in then call it good.
Spring isn't really that big, it's a wear item that'll get swapped out eventually anyway.
If it's a 6 position carbine extension then ditch the stock buffer and get an H-Buffer just because that's what the military uses and it's a cheap way to fix some function and premature wear issues shooting a lot of milsurp 5.56.
Ignore if you're building a rifle.
