O/k/, so I've got the itch for a new pistol but seen plenty of threads bitching about CZ pistols and would prefer not to get honey dicked. Not sure if it's the actual pistols or the users/fans that are the issue. Are the 75/SP01's to be trusted or avoided? Before polysperg I'm looking for DAT STEEL frame only. Give it to me raw
>>30485082
they work but or more maintenance intensive than modern guns. cz cant make a fucking spring that lasts. if everything's maintained its a nice gun thats comparatively heavy since its steel with a hard to rack slide. its hard to rack since its smaller but its easy to compensate. ergonomics are godlike enough for people to ignore the flaws.
stock triggers are mediocre to pretty decent the more you shoot the smoother it gets. aftermarket triggers are godlike.
for practical use buy a glock for range use cz all the way.
oh yeah toolmarks everywhere
>>30485172
Wanted a CZ for a bit started looking at CGW upgrade packages which has only made it worse. Would run it through it's paces, once at 2k rounds send it off for either pro or defensive offerings.
Previously had a Jericho and regretted trading it off. The CZ tool marks wouldn't bother me long as it functions, springs are replaceable and maintenance is a enjoyable hobby when it comes to pistols. Thanks for the feedback
>>30485339
oh if you do plan on doing a lot of self maintenance buy the safety model. the decocker is a royal pain in the ass to reassemble. the omegas let you swap between having safety or decocker installed but the aftermarket isnt there yet. you wont find omega custom triggers etc.
Eyyyy, newfag to the world of firearms here. What would /k/ recommend as a nice first handgun?
-$500 or less (but preferably not hi-shits)
-Chambered in .45 ACP or lower
-not an m67 hand grenade
pic unrelated
RIA has affordable 1911s. Glock has some .45 pistols. Those are the common ones I can think of.
I wanna fuck that pumpkin.
>>30485018
Is there a reason you want .45acp? Your selection goes down quite a bit with that ammo. Either way get a Glock trade in or RIA 1911.
What should I do, /k/?

Jamomatics with shitty magazine-mounted sights.

yes
Were the rockets of the time not able to fly straight enough to be used against ships?
You watch ww2 footage of airplanes attacking ships. It is torpedo planes and dive bombers.
I think, why didn't they put a torpedo sized rocket on the planes and shoot the rockets from up high to hit thinner top armor?
>Were the rockets of the time not able to fly straight enough to be used against ships?
They were used against ships and U-boats all the time.
Why didn't you look it up before making stupid assumptions?
If you're going to put a torpedo sized rocket on a plane to attack ships, you may as well just use a torpedo

So the Remington R51 is officially back.
>failures to eject, failures to extract, failures to feed, double feeds, bulged cases, beats the shit out of the shooters hand
>"At least the sights aren't falling off this time!" ...they're still just as loose and poorly fitted, Remington just put a set screw in them to keep them on instead of manufacturing them better
Is anyone really surprised? At least it isn't firing out of battery and spitting the mag out now. Maybe after another recall and 2 year redesign period Remington can make it not trash
>>30484652
I'll stick to my original Remington 51
>>30484652
shitty guns, fat hands.
I don't own, or want either.

Absolutely fucking disgusting. No fucking reason for them to have not figured out how to at least do that part of the gun correctly.
Thinking about purchasing my first firearm.
What do you think about this thing?
What was your first firearm?
Think I can do any better in California?
Am super broke - Not trying to spend more than $600

>>30484654
Fuck you, thread terrorist.
>>30484631
don't know what you can find in california, but get a Ruger 10/22 instead if you can. I got hands on that Mossberg and it's the most disgusting thing I've ever touched. and that includes Jennings and Hi Points
What's the best multi tool for /k/ related stuff?
Are there any multi tools made specifically for the range?

>>30484604
You posted pic related. I love my Wave, never had an issue and nothing has broken on it. Got it in 2012 I think.
What does /k/ think of pic related? are they could guns? Can you use modern 7.62 nato with killing them slowly?

How do you feel about using 4.5mm airguns as self-defense weapons? Of course it wouldn't work against powder-based firearms, but I mean against unarmed/melee-weapon-armed attacker. Best case scenario: the attacker thinks the weapon is powder-based, assuming it looks like it is, and surrenders.Worst-case scenario, he doesn't get phased by it, and you have to shoot the attacker, the shots most likely cause enormous amount of pain, assuming the attacker isn't armoured or anything, and might take the attackers attention to the pain, and give you time to take control of the situation. Here's some pros and cons I could think of, I'd like to hear your opinions on this
>being attacked
>feign deadly force
what could go wrong?
>>30484351
>pull out BB gun
>attacker doesn't run away
>pew pew
>attacker now really mad and pounds your fucking head into the dirt, beats you to death
>takes BB gun
If you're pulling a weapon it is to stop the imminent danger. A toy gun is not the tool to do that.
>>30484366
I'd imagine a 4.5mm steel ball, coming at over 100m/s would penetrate skin, and depending on the shot placement, would cause a lot of pain, don't you think? And the kind of guns I'm talking about are semi-automatic, with 18-20 round mags (+additional ones in reserve possibly). I suppose it would be better than nothing, right?
Can you own a Gatling gun in the U.S.? It's not technically semi-auto or automatic right? Since it's a crank? Just multi-chambered. I mean like the old Gatlin guns, not a Mini-Gun.
>>30484345

Just ordered one plain edge of each, wondering if anyone here has any experience with these?
All the reviews on YouTube are just verbal and none actually field testing, Any opinions?
