Are pilots actually allowed to fly very low and take risks when they put out those kinds of video ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gvvr_NyewQ

I mean, wouldn't their CO freak out if they find they voluntary put the aircraft at risk without reason ? Or are those videos made during training where flying low is one of the parameters ?

It all depends on the country and the internal culture of the air force in question.

The USAF would not allow anybody to take unnecessary risks with a multi-million dollar aircraft. Other countries might be more liberal. Russia, for example, doesn't seem to mind pilots showing off a bit.

You're doing it wrong. You want a polymer framed service pistol? Try a Glock or an M&P.

> I know what you're thinking: is there one bullet left in his magazine or none? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off even with a silencer attached. So you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?

Why did dirty harry confuse the bore diameter of the cartridge with a hand gun? was he senile?

"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not."

-not Thomas Jefferson

Why do so many progun people do this (misattribute modern rhetoric to founding fathers)?

It makes us look fucking stupid, particularly when there's actual quotes about what they genuinely believed about the subject. It misinforms newer/younger progun people who might then parrot because someone they respect or listen to for advice repeated the horseshit to them. And honestly, there are actually plenty of things these figures DID say or write that clearly show their feelings on the subject, though not in such pithy, memetic sound bites.

It's MUH FEELS level rhetoric and leads to arguing in circles, except MUH FEELS gungrabs look better because at least they didn't lie about some shit George Washington said on the fifth of Fucking Never, Seventeen Imaginary-Nine.

I just raped my wallet buying ammo yesterday but with July 4th sales going on I'm considering just keeping the rape going and finally getting a .22 and maybe a scope for it.

I'm considering a Ruger American rimfire or a CZ 455, but I have no idea at all which entry-level scope I should be looking at.

Any recommendations? I'd be using it almost exclusively for making holes in paper at a range if that makes a difference.

I just got a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 EFR for a Ruger 10/22.

So far the adjustments are true and repeatable and the glass is very clear. I paid $189 and shipping for it.
>>
>>30489421
eh, i'd say get a vortex for equal quality and a waaaay better warranty
>>
>>30489421
That was one I was looking at because it seems to get good reviews, I'm just totally new to optics and in my Fuddness I'm stuck in thinking anything that cheap is going to be garbage.

If it's good though I might pick one up while they're on sale.

Hey /k/ just moved here looking for some good ranges and a good gun store that has cheap online transfers.
34 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
Ranges:
Target Time Defense in Blue Springs (great prices on guns, newest range in town)
Frontier Justice in Lee's SUmmit (best range in the area, a little pricey)
Crossfire/Armsmart in Independence (huge selection, kinda old and dirty)
The Bullet Hole in Overland Park, KS (older, have weekly USPSA/IDPA)
Centerfire Shooting Sports in Olathe, KS (awesome rental selection, second nicest range in area)
Lake City gun range in Independence (all outdoor. 100yd rifle, 25 yd pistol, 3x trap/skeet bays, archery range. Super cheap, but highly regulated)
Pioneer Gun Club, multiple locations (24 hour indoor range, large outdoor range, lots of competitions)
Show Me Shooters, north of the river (guys are eh, prices are eh, weekly bowling pin matches)
Mill Creek Rifle Club in DeSoto, KS (huge outdoor range, tons of bays from 25yds up, monthly USPSA pistol, 3 Gun, and Steel Challenge)

Stores:
Gunners Firearms in Raymore (good crew, eh prices)
CR Sales and Firearms in Independence (wide selection, decent prices)
Shootersmart in Blue Springs (mixed prices, usually too high)
Blue Steel Guns in Raytown (good selection of c&r guns, prices are usually high, crew thinks they know more than they do {argued that 380 was different from 9x17/9mm Browning} are building a range in their basement)
Gunsmithing Only in Mission, KS (great smiths, pretty much all older firearms)
Walmart, Bass Pro, Academy Sports, Cabelas, etc
>>
Anyone here go to UMKC? Junior there

Do you find many western Europeans in the US military?
I'm getting an internship for a whole year in Georgia which may lead to a full time position within the company afterwards which will give me permanent residency.

Why is steel shellcase ammo cheaper and will it ruin my 9mm?
13 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
Steel is cheaper than brass, and generally not reloadable. Unless it uses a corrosive primer it shouldn't do any damage, and even then you're fine if you clean your gun after shooting.

Because the quality is shit, it's made by slave labor in former eastern block nations, and while it may not ruin your gun it will malfunction very often.

Cheap things are cheap for a reason, anon-san.

Only steel case ammo I've ever heard people NOT complain about was Wolf. Love their 762x39 ammo, but I've never tried their other calibers.

Alright /K/,

Let's weaponize this RC plane.

>two engine selected for performance
>Wide wing span for hard points

I'm thinking removing the nose section for a decent camera and a steel BB powered by CO2 canisters.

This is for air to air combat against drones.

Any other weapons viable? Obviously a tow line would be crippling to the rotors of any adversary but it would have to be detachable once it's caught our both planes would go down.

Side bar: why hasn't battle bots taken to the skies yet? With VR head sets this would be awesome.

I'm ready for you to shit all over my idea

>>
>>30487728
Yeah. I was trying to avoid putting a real gun into it.

On the hypothetical side of things putting a single shot .410 would be neat.

Attack/Guard Dogs/Watch Dogs/Hunting Dogs

What battle buddy do you have? Besides companionship and cuddles does he/she/xe have a role in the family?

>Guard
>Attack
>Watch
>Hunting

Did you train him even its just the basics to be house broken? Schultzhund? Gun dog training, bay/catch dog etc...

I'm interested.

Why does CZ or any gun manufacturer choose to build their guns with low profile slides in comparison to their overall size?

Low bore axis and low sight axis
The P210 is one of the most accurate 9x19 guns that exists and it uses a low slide-in-frame design as well

Stock CZ 75 slides suck for a slide grip, but the TS models and other sport models have a wayyyy better checkering that makes it more comfortable to use

now im spending the rest of my time trying to find comparable alternatives.
