>Is a M14 worth owning?
I have the chance to buy a mostly USGI built gun (early Federal Ordinance gun, Serial number is below 5000). However American firearms are not really something I collect, I also already have a FAL, PTR91 and a MR762 so the Battle rifle base is pretty much covered.
>O yea, the price is only $800
>>32001734
>only $800 for a war M14
Jump on that shit and double that on gunbroker
>>32001734
M14/M1A pattern rifles are much more fun to shoot than the FAL or PTR. Get it.
>>32001734
>not a Springfield
Complete shit
Can /k/ give me some pointers on painting a shotgun? I already have a base of tan/dark earth. Do I spray green or brown next? Should I cut out patterns with tape, mask it with foliage, or just hit it with solid stripes?
>>32001367
Well, you gotta get the paint warm first, you gotta spray it up your butt.
In case you're wondering, the gun I am painting isn't in the picture. It's a real gun.
>>32001394
I'm going to do it tomorrow if it's warm out. It seems like doing it with my butt would make things harder though.

Who has the shittier gun laws
>>32000946
Australia hands down. Although they do have a .22 pump action that looks like you're jerking it off.
As far as countries that aren't the US goes, Canada isn't too bad. Worst thing about it is the banning guns by name garbage.
Australia.
Alright guys... I know /k/'s "mascot" is a mosin.
How much of a faggot am I for having one?
pic related: it's my mosin

You're a faggot for posting on /k/.

If you don't support the reintegration and modernization of the M60 into the US Army, you're a commie and hate America.

What role does it fill that the Abrams cannot do?

overkill
>>31999882
It can be reclassified as a light tank and take a swarm role.
I just inherited this Colt Cobra from my grandfather, along with a Colt Single Action .22 magnum. I have only ever fired a Glock in the past. I can't wait to fire these old guns.
and here is my single action. I can't seem to find ammo for it anywhere in stores. Also ignore all the LR ammo, I have no plans on using it in this gun as it is chambered for Mag.
Caught this fucker in my woods, kept attacking my pets and stealing their food. Anybody else on /k/ trap?
>>31999524
I prefer the method that involves bullets
>>31999524
i trap but not the kind that's welcome on this board

I saw Kill Bill and now I want one of these swords. Can anyone recommend one cheap and strong? Thanks.

There si only one such sword in the world left. Made by Hattori Hanzo. This sword kill whoever stands in thy way, even if that be Lord God, or Buddha himself.
>>31999478
>Cheap
>Strong
First off, pick one. Second off you might as well just learn how to make one yourself because by the time you get any semblance of a "strong" (i.e. not shitty wallhanger) katana you're looking at $1,500 and upwards. It would be cheaper just to buy the materials for a basic black-smith set up.
(saged because bait, but for anyone that is genuinely curious.)
Just unlocked the M4 and noticed how many parts there are. Are there any problems with the number of single parts in a real life M4? Any veteran/owner care to comment on that? Seems awfully complicated compared to an AK.
>>31999237
Not really. Most of that isn't taken apart for normal reasons.
The bits that need cleaning/replacement schedules are easy to get to and replace.
The roll pins and a couple Jesus springs bother people though when working on those areas.
>>31999237
>Got that far in world of guns
>Thinks that's a lot of parts
You are like a little baby.
>>31999237
No. There are tons of parts on it, but most of those parts seldom expire or break. In the military you buy barrels with the A frame assembly, chamber pre installed and throw them away with the barrel when they erode.
You never replace parts on a magazine. Just swap them out for new ones when needed.
Buttstock, same thing.
Would the US ever bring back prop planes for ground attack or CAS roles? This would seem viable due to less maintenence, cheaper to produce and possibly be more rugged.
That's already happening.
>>31999136
>more rugged
Maybe against .30 cal MGs.
The maintenance time on piston engines and prop aircraft is UNGODLY. I can't remember the exact numbers but it's something like 80 man hours of work on the plane to every hour in the air. Basically every time they fly a sortie you have to tear the thing down, clean it, replace parts, and rebuild it.
Can the average citizen in the United Kingdom purchase a firearm?
Yes.
everyone in the countryside owns a shotgun for shooting rabbits and shit like that.
its not difficult for a city dweller to get a shotgun, rifles are more difficult, you need to join a gun club or own land. its bullshit.
>>31998519
Fucking lol, they can have him.
What's the closest we can get to a Space Marine/Spartan? In terms of size, strength, and protection.
>>31998432
The future isn't Spartans. It's chappie/elesium bots.
>>31998432
John Glenn. The first Space Marine.
Maybe something like the pic related armor, with an AK pistol as a sidearm and some big rifle that shoot's .50 BMG? Have them 6'7. The exoskeleton the size increase may aswell give them this ability to wield heavy shit.

Capable of firing at a rate of over 200 rounds per minute, with its rotating barrel and hand cranked automatic reloading system, this, gentlemen, is the gatling machine gun. Created by renowned inventor Dr. Richard J. Gatling, this gun is the finest weapon to provide a continuous high rate of fire without pause for reloading. With Gatling Guns in your arsenal, a crew of JUST FOUR can do the job of 4 squad trained rifle men, reducing the cost of your army and at the same time, increasing its effectiveness, and all through American engineering.

Neat
>>31997577
>machine gun
Goddamit, you fucked up already.
>>31997594
i think it's referring to the fact that 4 jabroni's off the farm can run this thing to the same effect as 4 infantry trained riflemen, thus reducing your overall costs,
They are supposed to ship the 30th
I know some of you fags ordered
>>31997584
