I thought all jarhead after 1 a shit?
January 1942.
Blessed by the shinto gods, Japan is given a Nimitz class carrier full of aircraft and supplies worth 5 years of war. The crew is Japanese, loyal to Nippon and the IJN knows how to operate everything.
How would things have turned out? What kind of shit could have been pulled up? Would they win the war?
>>32001572
Half the navigation, aircraft management and coms wouldn't work because it needs satellite linkup. So it would largely be useless. Plus they'd probably just fukashima the reactors
Source: on a Nimitz class Carrier right now

August Storm happens, then a two front invasion is staged by the allies and Japan is split up like germany.

Any random milsurp pistol
I've been trying to buy my wife a gun for a while now, and everytime she sees a colorful or designer gun she wants it. I've finally talked her out of getting a Sig or a Kimber, but now she's decided to get a revolver.
What would a reasonable revolver to get her. Out of the few revolvers she's shot, she likes my Smith and Wesson Governor the most, and an old .32 Smith my mom has. The only revolver she has had trouble shooting was a .38 Smith Bodyguard.
I'm looking at a Smith 686, any ideas?
>>32001210
>buy wife a gun
>better buy her a really big heavy 357
Youre an idiot
>>32001210
You should really let her choose. What's the point of arming your wife with something she's uncomfortable with.
>>32001257
Forgot to mention, I let her shoot my Grandma's Lady Smith, which is .357 and she liked it a lot, but I realized I couldn't find one if we decided to get it.
Of course with whatever gun we look into, she's going to shoot it before we buy.
Hey /k/
So my grandpa passed about 8 years agon and I just turned 18 and inherited them. One of them is a byf 1941 luger. The serial number is 3666s. I just wanted some basic information on lugers, because I was planning to convert an ammo box and I wondered what german braces carried them
Pic related, it's the luger
*branches

Nice rig! Do the magazines match? What are the codes on them?
Is there a date on the holster?
Does the holster have a loading tool in the flap?
>>32001170
A fine weapon. now find some steins or bergs to test it out on
Please fuel my addiction to guns with wood furniture.

Clerke 1st, guns branded by CDM, certain Rohm models (not all), Sedco, Talon, Reck/La Fury/Spesco, etc.
>>31995775
I've seen Rohm revolvers go for like 30$, wonder how many rounds you can put through them before they break?
>>31995779
Some are fine, others aren't.
I've got an RG 23 that's probably had ~5k rounds put through it since it was bought new in the 1970's.
Why does people still buy this ancient thing?
seriously, the MSRP for a 1911 is from 700 to 1200 dollars (as springfield website specifies)
if you had that much money to buy a .45, why not get something more decent? like an FNX, or a USP.
compared to the 1911, both of these pistols (FNX and USP) have
>more mag cap
>comes with threaded barrel from factory
>rails
>cheaper
>double stack
>lighter
Why do people waste money on a 1911 when they can get something alot more decent?
Something i forgot to mention
the MSRP for the FNX and USP are 800 dollars, which is same as a 1911
why do people buy that relic when they can get something better for the same price?
>>32009350
Because 1911's are cool and manly guns. A lot better than those ugly tupperware glocks and usp's.

Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying a glock but I'd like to know which one is the more enjoyable between the 9mm or 45acp. I've only tried 9mm once.
What's your opinion?
I live in France and I gonna have my gun detention license in a few month.
>>32008275
9mm is better and would be more "enjoyable" (less recoil).
Glock 19 is best first Glock, then Glock 29
>>32008275
They are both fun calibers desu, but I would personally buy the 9mm as a first gun.
Gotta love the capacity, and it's cheaper to shoot.
2018.
California, with the aid of the UN, leaves the US.
Federal troops are trapped behind enemy lines, with the Marine recruits in San Diego, fighting for their lives.
The California National Guard, has supplemented their numbers with gang members.
Friendly Militia in the North, and East are holding, but need reinforcing.
The goal of US forces, is to crush the NCR, and to relieve besieged US troops.
Post maps, tactics, and stories of the California Rebellion.
>>32007998
I'm from California and I will gladly take up arms against this shit hole
I dont think the gangs would fight for the legitimate goverment.
Just fucking nuke the Bay Area and kill all the Mexicans. The remaining population will happily return to the US.
What was your first gun? Not a gun that was given to you, but the first gun you spend your money on. Did you keep it? Sell it?
>>32007015
Mosin Nagant 91/30 and I still have it.
The barrel is shot out though (was like that when I got it and I didn't know better). I picked up a replacement barrel for it and I intend to get the barrels swapped.
Very first gun that I "bought" was a Rossi ranch hand in .357
I was like 12 at the time and my dad bought it for me when he bought one for himself.
They had consecutive serial numbers, which was pretty cool.
>>32007015
LE6920. Still have it, and always will. I'lol go homeless before I sell that rifle
For the first time since the end of WW2, Japanese soldiers have received order to actively use force, in this case it is a rescue mission in South Sudan.: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-japan-security-southsudan-idUSKBN13A091
