I have both Uberti and Pietta Colt Repros. Uberti is much better. My buddy was running only cowboy loads through his converted Remington New model army. If you're going to shoot cartridges, might as well pack them full of blackpowder.

I am kind of a newfag to guns, but I do own a few so I am getting better.
What's the point of having the super long handguards on the barrel of an AR as opposed to the classic build like in this pic? The ones that go up all the way just look weird IMO, like a k'nex set was built around the barrel. You're only going to add a foregrip or flashlight to it, so why go all autistic and extend it to the barrel?

I find the elbow-out to be really awkward on rifles with pistol grips. Conversely, on something like a K98k, having my elbow outward makes sense. Also, is there a name for this kind of stock/grip configuration?
