Seriously what the fuck is wrong with this stupid round?
>Most first glocks that blew up or catastrophically failed were chambered in .40, hence the glocknade maymay
>The FNX that got it's magwell fucked (squish meme) was chambered in .40
>The first shitty USPs were chambered in .40, until 45 came along and fixed it
why is every pistol chambered in this round destined to be so goddamned shitty?
Delete it out of existence.

Not at all surprising honestly.
Should the 6.5 Grendel replace the 5.56x45?
>>34022870
no because then you'd only have half your arms

I get a harder erection at the thought of my gun having to be inspected at every 2,000 round interval. Unf.
Guys, red pill me on gunshows. Are they actually a decent way to get guns or should I expect extensive mark ups on every thing? Would it be better then going to a gun and pawn in terms of prices and quality of weapons? Am I likely to even find decent guns or will it just be mostly flashy pieces/ maybe some historical items? Are they worth going to?
>>34022615
Gun shows suck.
Only go there for the novelty or if you are looking for a specific hard to find gun or thingie and you don't mind getting totally hosed on the price.
Otherwise even pawn shops are better
>>34022615
They're very hit and miss.
My local CASC show in Alabama is the tits if you like surplus.
The one in Kentucky I went to wasn't even worth the entry fee.
If you like surplus, then there's a good chance that gun shows are the thing for you.
They kinda suck unless you want used shit though.

Exactly.
Sure, the plane could kill a million people in a half hour but what other P-38 could FEED a million people in half an hour?
Really makes you think.
>wants to buy SCAR
>looks at price tag
>looks at all the plastic
>looks at boot
>changes mind
>repeat several months later
Why is it so fucking expensive and why is it so alluring?
>>34022180
I was in the same position then realized I had no ranges near me over 100 yards. Also remember that you're going to spend even more outfitting it with an optic, light, rail, trigger, etc
>>34022180
they have more problems than you hear about. check the FN forums and peruse the myriad issues people have with them, and FN's warranty is absolute garbage. If you get a lemon they WILL find a way to say it's your fault and they owe you nothing.
>>34022180
It's expensive because it's made in Belgium (with their labor costs), imported in a silly import configuration and then converted back to normal. On top of that FN is just a tier below KAC and HK in charging outlandish prices because of the name.
I absolutely love mine and I don't see myself ever selling it. I also never recommend it to anyone because the price is just plain unreasonable.

Missed opportunity or solution looking for a problem?
Neither really.
Funny though how the US is going towards 6.5 (I know, not 6) for both its squad based light machine guns, and automatic rifles.
>>34021934
>>34021969
The only way we're getting 6.5 is if they use caseless ammo, they're not going to replace 5.56 or 7.62 anytime soon.
>>34022031
Polymer. Army already wants it and has developed both a rifle and machine gun for it, and they've gone beyond the testing phase with both. Look up the LSAT.
Overall what is the best body armor? Composite, Steel? And what was wrong with DragonSkin that made it banned, was it better than the interceptor's plates?
>>34021855
The main problem with dragonskin was the adhesive. It didn't function well in hot environments apparently.
>In test runs for the Air Force there were multiple failures to meet the claimed level of protection. This coupled with poor quality control (over 200 of the 380 vests delivered to USAF OSI were recalled due to improperly manufactured armor disks) and accusations of fraudulent claims of official NIJ rating which Pinnacle had not actually obtained at the time of purchase led to the termination of the USAF contract. Pinnacle attempted to appeal this decision, but courts found in favor of the USAF.
>On August 3, 2007, the Department of Justice announced that the NIJ had reviewed evidence provided by the body armor manufacturer and has determined that the evidence is insufficient to demonstrate that the body armor model will maintain its ballistic performance over its six-year declared warranty period. Because of this, Dragon Skin has been found not in compliance with the NIJ's testing program and has been removed from the NIJ's list of bullet-resistant body armor models that satisfy its requirements.

Dkx armor. Level 3 plates weigh about 2lbs and they float.
Do you think it was all the dead muslims that allowed this man to reach this level of aesthetic?
completely /k/ related by the btw. Let's discuss his clothing and weapon.
He's wearing an Armija BiH mag carrier, similar quality to the chicom ak mag carriers but much more comfortable and they look so much better.

Was going through old Forgotten Weapons videos and found an interesting pistol safety. It's essentially a manual safety in the grip, so that you squeeze it once and it's deactivated until manually activated again. It is the perfect pistol safety system, as it's less risky than normal grip safeties and manual safeties, safer than a Glock, and doesn't need a heavy trigger like a DA.
Prove me wrong.
>>34021667
Squeezing, using the whole hand vs flipping, using only your thumb.
>>34021667
It's more complicated than the competition, and isn't an automatic thing like a normal grip safety, so you have to think a little more before holstering. Still, very neat.
Won't it be actuated as you unholster it anyway? Making it essentially as safe as a Glock.
The Marmon-Herrington Combat Tank Light was a US light tank produced for the export market at the start of the Second World War. The CTL-3 had a crew of two and was armed with three .30 caliber machine guns.

Hey /k/, /cm/ here, i've got a question to american /k/ommandos about how theyd feel if the right to bear arms including the right to break arms?

What do you mean by "break arms"?

How different would WW2 be if Franco had joined up with the axis?
Also why didn't he join up with the axis. I heard that the OSS and MI6 were bribing some of his people to keep spain out of the war, but I don't know for sure.
>>34021560
No different France would have wound up surrendering regardless FUCKING frogs.
no diffrenc, Spain was destroyed by the civil war. they even sent soldiers to the eastern front and they all died rather inconsequentially.
Spain had neither the economy or free troops to openly support the Germans.
If they mobilized a lot of troops and sent them out of the country. The communists would have probably started the civil war up again.
I hate to say it, but no matter how much they try, Ruger just never made it to the level of Smith & Wesson. As much as I resent Smith & Wesson for their Hillary holes, they simply have a better fit and finish than any other production revolver on the market.
Cool story, bro.
>>34021387
And yet, there is ammo that specifically states to only shoot in a Ruger. Looking that up now...
>>34021421
That only has to do with the cylinder, not the frame, while I like Ruger and the fact that my Vaquero old model will shoot 44 mag level 45 colts its really not indicative of Ruger being the absolute better gun.
Even if I had a 44 mag Redhawk I still would only shoot saami spec out of it and I'd rather have (and do have) a pre lock Smith and Wesson 629.
