They're very hit and miss.
My local CASC show in Alabama is the tits if you like surplus.
The one in Kentucky I went to wasn't even worth the entry fee.

If you like surplus, then there's a good chance that gun shows are the thing for you.
They kinda suck unless you want used shit though.

they have more problems than you hear about. check the FN forums and peruse the myriad issues people have with them, and FN's warranty is absolute garbage. If you get a lemon they WILL find a way to say it's your fault and they owe you nothing.

It's expensive because it's made in Belgium (with their labor costs), imported in a silly import configuration and then converted back to normal. On top of that FN is just a tier below KAC and HK in charging outlandish prices because of the name.

I absolutely love mine and I don't see myself ever selling it. I also never recommend it to anyone because the price is just plain unreasonable.

The main problem with dragonskin was the adhesive. It didn't function well in hot environments apparently.

It's more complicated than the competition, and isn't an automatic thing like a normal grip safety, so you have to think a little more before holstering. Still, very neat.

Won't it be actuated as you unholster it anyway? Making it essentially as safe as a Glock.

That only has to do with the cylinder, not the frame, while I like Ruger and the fact that my Vaquero old model will shoot 44 mag level 45 colts its really not indicative of Ruger being the absolute better gun.
Even if I had a 44 mag Redhawk I still would only shoot saami spec out of it and I'd rather have (and do have) a pre lock Smith and Wesson 629.
