The Assyrians did expel most of the northern Israelites actually, they were relocated throughout the Assyrian Empire and were then lost to history. They're called the ten lost tribes.
Actually, a few remained, a community that worshipped at Mount Gerizim rather than Jerusalem has remained there ever since, the Samaritans. Genetic evidence has shown that they are indeed natives.

Reminder that Germans voted for the NSDAP because of Strasser, not because of Hitler. Until Strasser developed the northern branch, they were a tiny irrelevant party. Most of their votes came in from the North where Strasser was in charge, because they liked his socialist economic policies. Hitler's southern branch and his ideology of "lebensraum" and conquering the east appealed to basically very few German voters.

What do you think of the idea of giving animals human-level intelligence? That is, problem solving skills, awareness of oneself, ability for complex communication, the ability to learn and remember the past, and the ability to ponder about the future.
The technology is not yet here, but it would no doubt be in our reach at some point within the next few decades or centuries. Would it be ethical for us, the current kings of the planet, to bring our, in many ways genetic relatives, to our level? Would they want that if they could chose? Are we in a position to decide that?
What benefits would we get? What problems would it bring? Main problem everyone always points us is "huuurr durr racism" which ok, can happen, but it's clearly not been enough of a problem among humans, who sometimes don't see each other as even the same species, to prevent us from working together, and we already see animals as equals a lot of the time. And it could be beneficial to have partners able to live and work natively underwater, or even just being able to ask to other forms of sentient life what their toughs are on this whole "life" deal, tho maybe being engineered by us, we would find them to just share a lot of the same toughs and ideas than us, and not actually be much different.

Mansteinwitz also didn't know about the existence of the Reserve Front/Steppe Front.
By 1943 Germany was out of reserve and any attack they made, no matter how successful, would only be operational in scope.
