Just found this crap I wrote for history 12 on my old laptop kek
Pretty sure the assignment was called "The Holocaust Coroners Report"
>Every generation has its genocides. From The Holy Crusades, to the Mongol conquests of Eurasia, humankind is no stranger to ethnic cleansing. However, in the 20th century, we observe a genocide more heinous and efficient than any before it. A kind of industrial murder, making use of railways and blast furnaces, the Holocaust remains the most grotesque reflection that humankind has ever seen of itself. At the time, nobody could fathom the atrocities that the Nazi party perpetrated. It was quite literally unimaginable. The Reich was able to systematically destroy millions upon millions of “impurities” through the collaboration of officials throughout the administration, often leaving swaths of their own citizens ignorant of any indication of what the Final Solution truly was. The Holocaust wasn’t just the world’s first industrial-level genocide, it was its most clandestine. It wasn’t until the end of the war that the world began to realize the true gravity of Hitler’s doctrine; which leaves us wondering, who do we blame for the murder of six million Jews?
The Holocaust was an event of unprecedented cruelty. Even the physical execution of the Final Solution was often sub-contracted (forcefully so) to the Jews themselves.

The Sonderkommando, for instance, were groups of specially chosen prisoners tasked with disposing bodies. Literally translating to “special unit”, Sonderkommando groups consisted of Jews, coerced under threat of death to carry out horrifying labors. Inmates who belonged to the Sonderkommando were expected to remain able-bodied and capable of doing their duties. As a result, they were spared the arbitrary beatings and killings that regular inmates endured daily. Consequently, the Sonderkommando often provided longevity for its members, although there were very few survivors by the war’s end. Because the Final Solution was to remain covert, Sonderkommando units were destroyed and replaced every few months to insure secrecy. Sonderkommandos had an intimate knowledge of The Holocaust, and as a result, were driven to revolt in a number of Nazi death camps. An uprising at Auschwitz left 3 guards dead and part of the crematorium destroyed. Over 400 Sonderkommandos would be executed as a result. It’s important to note that many (although still a low minority) of Germans disagreed with Hitler’s view of Jews, but were unable to oppose the regime without serious repercussions to themselves. German industrialist and businessman, Oskar Schindler, for example, is credited with preserving the lives of over 1,200 Jews by employing them at his enamelware and ammunitions factories. The film Schindler’s List dramatizes Oskar Schindler’s evolution from a profit-motivated Nazi to a dedicated Jewish sympathizer. As time went on, Schindler would shield his Jewish employees without regard for profit, often bribing party officials to keep them safe. He was named Righteous among Nations by Israel in 1963, and died in 1974.

Some Nazis even experienced oppression by the regime they supported. For instance Emil Nolde, a Danish-German Nazi, had over 1000 of his paintings seized by Nazi agents despite his close affiliation with Joseph Goebbels. The regime rejected his idea of art as degenerative. The Nazis believed that only classical romanticism was true art. Nolde was prohibited from creating anymore paintings, but continued to illustrate hundreds of impressionist “unpainted” pieces which he hid in his home.
The perpetrators of the holocaust are difficult to establish. The most universally accepted culprit is obviously Adolf Hitler himself, but party members throughout the administration also have blood on their hands. Eichmann, Himmler and Goebbels are just a few of the plethora of Nazi officials that made the destruction of six millions Jews run like clockwork. Deep in his seat at the office of Jewish Immigration sits Adolf Eichmann. With the quick frolic of his pen, he would facilitate the mass deportation of countless Jews to concentration camps. His role in Hitler’s administration was unique and was never held by anyone else. If Eichmann’s job was to get the Jews there, Himmler’s job was to deal with them upon arrival. Heinrich Himmler was supreme commander of the SS. He executed the final solution within his jurisdiction of concentration camps. Under Hitler’s orders, Himmler created extermination camps and paramilitary death-squads. He was one of the most powerful men in the Reich, and is widely blamed for the holocaust. Joseph Goebbels was Hitler’s right-hand man. He oversaw the distribution of propaganda in Nazi Germany, including heavily anti-Semitic posters and writings that served to desensitize the population to the Final Solution and to prepare German citizens for an aggressive war.

A sound argument could be made that the Holocaust could not be made possible without the collaboration of these individuals – even just one. A single perpetrator can never be named for the murder of six-million Jews. It was a grotesque trickle-down effect, stretching from the dizzying heights of Hitler’s command, to the terrifying jackboot of the average deathcamp guard.
The very uttering of “Holocaust” stirs emotions like no other word. “Never again” said the world. And yet, since 1945, major genocides in Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda and Darfur have occurred. Is it willful ignorance? Are the leaders of developed nations more inclined to turn a blind eye to potential genocides simply because it’s easier than intervening? It seems so.

Why people often claim that the Franks were Germanic, when they were infact Gauls ?

I mean, it is obvious that they were Gauls sicne they wore Gaulish name like Laniogaisus, and spoke Gaulish language as proved by their Gaulish names.

Even Franks like Charlemagne admited their Gallic Ancestry, quote related :

The Monk of Saint Gall: The Life of Charlemagne

>And his teaching bore such fruit among his pupils that THE MODERN GAULS OR FRANKS came to equal the ancient Romans or Athenians.
...
>When Julian, whom God hated, was slain in the Persian war by a blow from heaven, not only did the transmarine provinces fall away from the Roman Empire, but also the neighbouring provinces of Pannonia, Noricum, Rhætia, or in other words the Germans and THE FRANKS OR GAULS.
...
>Then too THE KINGS OF THE FRANKS (OR GAULS) began to decay in power because they had slain Saint Didier, Bishop of Vienna, and had expelled those most holy visitors, Columban and Gall.
...
>Whereupon the race of the Huns, who had already OFTEN RAVAGED FRANCIA AND AQUITANIA (THAT IS TO SAY THE GAULS AND THE SPAINS)

What are the perfect hormone and physical characteristics in Christianity? It is clear that the main goal is to transcend physicality but what would be the report on a prophet or a really devout priest, for example do they have both low estrogen and testosterone or one is higher than the other.

There seems to have been a thing in Asian society, I dont know if anyone has written about it, of withdrawing from society, either temporarily or permanently, in order to achieve some spiritual goal.

If I were to speculate, their connection to a higher power made their deviancy somewhat more acceptable, because they were responding to the prompts of a higher power.

There was no thing as "traditional Chinese values" around when he was still alive.

In fact: there was no China at all when he was around. While the pre-Imperial Chinese States did have a notion of common general culture like the Hellenic City States did, but they're all foreign to each other as far as the States were concerned, and each had their own culture.

It's clear that many people secretly do immoral things like cheat in relationships, or commit atrocities generally considered unforgivable, like rape in wartime scenarios (I've seen numbers saying roughly 1/3 or 1/2 of people choose to do those things when presented with the opportunity.) But we only see those people from the outside.

I'm curious about the experiences of the people who commit acts such as those, which are more or less unacceptable in society (rape moreso than cheating, of course.) They live with big secrets. What is going through their minds before, during, and after committing an act that is considered immoral? Do they feel guilt, or do they justify it with their own moral codes (moral codes which they would presumably have to keep private)? How does that affect their future relationships and their experiences of life? It's like they damn themselves to living a double life; until they confess, that is.

I did immoral things when younger (minor theft, vandalism, and cheated on a girlfriend once), and the guilt haunted me in ways I didn't expect. I don't like keeping secrets, having a guilty conscience, or having to monitor or censor myself, not to mention harming others. As I realized this, I changed my ways.

Guilt is an artificial construct imposed upon you by moralizing Western Christianity. Do what you want and whatever you can get away with, do not let anything stand in your way, especially if its some invisible imposed guilt.

Sad part is, we pretty much only went to space in the 50's, 60's, and 70's to get a win over the Soviets. Once we got to the Moon first, the drive fell, we had a few more missions, then it was scrapped and we had the stagnation of the space shuttle program. If you want us to go back to space like before, we need an actual competition with another hated foe that has a chance of beating us there. I don't think any kind of advanced exploration or colonization will be very profitable and doable by just private industry alone, so I'm not as optimistic about it as most people are.
