I mean about the concept that if:
1- 100% of the population wants to secede from a nation and become its own state
2- They mean it by peaceful ways, like presenting their cultural or ethnic arguments and total population commitment.

And then we can talk about the size of the new state. If they fulfill the last two points and they were claiming a territory of considerable size for their mother nation (like Catalonia)
Would that be a final point in negotiations? Would the importance of the land prevail over Libertarian arguments?

Like claiming that the shock from secession would affect the mother state in a negative way as to create a big crisis of some kind.
Or stating that over the yeats together the mother state has spent big amounts of money on this secessionist area and that is not fare to have been taken advantage of that and now anting to go.

But then the secessionist area could argue that they give more (industry, food production, energy) than they receive and that makes them out of any debt.

This is a topic that I can't solve with my scarce knowledge about Libertarianism.
But I welcome everyone to answer!

Its often easier to see things as bad in the now what with nostalgia and the medias focus on the negative instead of positive today so this thread is for how comparatively better our lives are today than the past
for example, easy access to medication, a surplus of food in most modern nations, a world wide decrease in crime, war, the highest population of any time period, and over all the best connected world we have ever had.

post sad story from history. I will start with one:

> He had promised to buy the boat from his sponsor after the race, but if he didn't win, would lead to his company to go bust and his family would be out of a home.
> after only a month, does Crowhurst understandthat he can't win. So he starts to make false logs to pretend that he is still in the game and that he has made farther then he did.
> He starts to lose his mind over all his lies and loneliness.
> after has gone radio silence for a few months and resting, did he enter the race again, knowing that he could win now.
> But if he won, would the tamper with his sea log come to light and he would become known as a cheater.
> He tries to think of a way to lose with his honor still intact, but in combination with his isolation and guilt over his lies, is his madness starting to take over.

How do UK-Vatican relations work?

What was his goal here? Was he hoping for a buffer zone like Austria? Was he hoping to spread influence easier? Post-war Stalin seems much more enigmatic than before.

The disruption of the Entente and the subsequent creation of political combinations agreeable to us constitute the most important war aim of our diplomacy. Russia appeared to be the weakest link in the enemy chain. The task therefore was gradually to loosen it, and, when possible, to remove it. This was the purpose of the subversive activity we caused to be carried out in Russia behind the front — in the first place promotion of separatist tendencies and support of the Bolsheviks. It was not until the Bolsheviks had received from us a steady flow of funds through various channels and under different labels that they were in a position to be able to build up their main organ, Pravda, to conduct energetic propaganda and appreciably to extend the originally narrow basis of their party. The Bolsheviks have now come to power; how long they will retain power cannot be yet foreseen. They need peace in order to strengthen their own position; on the other hand it is entirely in our interest that we should exploit the period while they are in power, which may be a short one, in order to attain firstly an armistice and then, if possible, peace.
