This isn't true, at all.
Apple is pushing technology forward. It will and always has been a painful process, but they're the only company that can do it and we should be thanking them for it.

It's the way they are building it they are making cheaper chips that are larger in capacity then Samsungs chips without sacrificing performance and price constantly making the Price per Gigabyte smaller making the SSD market more affordable to both the users and large companies.

GTX 1060 is going to be in the 4X00 level with 6Gb .
AND do not forget that the 3DMark is a Dx11 test. Once there are Dx12/Vulkan benchmarks, Rx480 and 1070 are going to be at 1000 points of difference or less.
AND the headroom for Polaris is going to be sweet, while Pascal can't into OC.

They say it is the final version, but the end of life date isn't much different from the end of life date of Windows 7 and 8.
Basic support will end in 2020 and extended support in 2025. Which is only 2 years after Windows 8.

Linux half-noob here.
Finally decided to ascend after having used elementary's default whatever... What is your advice on some fast & convenient tiling window managers, that don't look like shit? I've heard of i3 and wtftw, are they any good? Also, what is the difference between a window manager and a desktop manager like GNOME? For example, do I keep gnome if I install i3?
