I don't know if /g/ has been paying attention to the news of John taking over a new company but I've been very interested.
I wanna know where he could be going with this company (MGT). He's hired several different teams of board of advisors as follows:
Cryptocurrency advisory board:
> Roger Ver - "bitcoin jesus"
> Erik Vorhees - shapeshift.io
> Bruce Fenton - btc foundation
Hacker Advisory Board:
>Alexander Heid - hackmiami
>Chris Roberts - hacked that airplane few years ago
>Bryce Case - defaced several webpages including NASA
Military/Government Advisory Board:
>Steve Orenberg - ex-kapersky president
And added Nolan Bushnell, founder of Atari, to the board of directors. He's also hired Eijah, founder of demonsaw and lead developer of GTA/rockstar games, to be the CTO.
I know JM is said to be a nutcase as well as 95% promotion/ 5% talent, but this seems like a pretty good team.
Would anyone have any idea what product they're developing? Such a big team for just one software seems too small. I think it will be bigger than that.
There's also some evidence to point to him being Satoshi Nakamoto, creator of bitcoin:
>creation of bitcoin was around the time his fortune disappeared
>satoshi left mid 2010-2011, when JM started getting in trouble by Belize government
>satoshi nakamoto means wise middle origin, possibly a reference to the Mayans who were from Belize
>Satoshi resided in UTC-5:00 or UTC-6:00 timezone, which is central america
>JM has formed this company when a currency/cyber war is about to start.
>easily brought in a team together of pioneers in bitcoin, who would have no reason to join
I'm just looking for some thoughts and feedback on what product he's building. Any ideas?

probably some shitty security software that goes nowhere

>that goes nowhere
Shit nigga McAfee don't give a fuck if it's the biggest pile of shit of all time.
>>55127903
>>55127874
I figured that, but why would his team buy into his vision?
They're mostly young. Why waste good years on a shitty idea?

This here.
Bought one figuring i'd use it all the time and it's sat here collecting dust in a drawer. So pulled it out today and thought why not ask /g/ what can I do with this tablet?
Neat uses, cool mods I could do with it.
Nothing it lacks a microsd slot so it's pretty much a paperweight. Use it as a door stopper I guess.
>>55127738
I was thinking about attaching it to my wall near my bed with some kind of arm/box set up to use as a wifi music player / chromecast remote. It's not the LTE version so I can't use it as a car tablet or I would.
Comfy wit me.
ITT: We post programming challenges of varying difficulty and laugh as anons struggle to solve them.

Hey /g/ should I go back to Windows 7? Currently using Win10 but I miss using the older version.
>>55127580
Yes
the proper suggestion, is that you use a proper, free Operating system.
Gnu/Linux is popular. You also could use a BSD, or something more exotic, but I would sugges you stick to one of those two.
Debian is really easy to setup and get used to, as are many other distros, if you are not used to the whole *NIX world.
Frankly, when I switched, it was easy as pie after a few weeks, you should give it a go.
>>55127735
I rather not, I am used to the Windows environment. Plus there is software that I need to use, I don't wan't to dual boot since it doesn't make much sense.
Also another reason why I haven't switched is because my keyboard doesn't light up in Linux.

Always flooded with randomness, usually less repair related as far as I'm concerned.

Suppose I want to get into the field. I want to know how to repair a computer but I am a pooorfag, don't know how to start or where to learn.
Also, I was watching video from Eli on youtube, are they good? They seem to. Videos seem the best alternative so far.
Zowie EC1-A or EC2-A mouse?
19.5 cm (7.67 in) hand (base to tip of middle finger) here.
>Falling for the Zowie meme
Just because it some hipster brand that /g/ worships doesnt mean its actually good
I have a Zowie EC1 EVO
I bought it to play CS;GO (Global Elite), it's a really good product, very accurate
>>55127484
What would you recommend then?

How big are your hands?
Reminder that before 2020 you can get rid of your desktop and use a smartphone as your one and only device for pure productivity. Ports including audio will be removed for pure wireless connectivity.
You're welcome.
>>55127426
>you can get rid of your desktop
>you can
but absolutely won't
the day the desktop dies is the day I quit my oxygen addiction
Won't happen unless we start making x86 phablets that dual-boot android and desktop windows.
Zenfone 2 was okay but you could only run desktop windows inside a VM and driver support was fucking shit.
I'm not against the wireless headphone thing but current gen is fucking shit. We need to transfer lossless 1.4Mbps WAV audio in real time with very little delay to headphones. Hopefully bluetooth 5.0 will do that.
>>55127542
You're implying Windows will remain king.

Different clocks.
1266 Mhz and 1080 Mhz
Think of this as the "boost" speed. The card probably had a switch to change between the two like my current HD 7950 card does.
I'd assume the card can OC up to 1400-1500 Mhz probably, this is where the real performance of the card will shine.
I was thinking on building a pc for myself, i havent done that before and i do not know much but what would be great (best?) build if budget is only $900.
Thank's for help!

Hey guys, wondering if you could help me out on this.
I've been looking to retrieve a computer case that I had back in 2005, when I was 15. My very first serious computer in fact, built by some family member. I really loved the case, but never managed to find it again online.
Specs are as follow:
>ATX Sized
>Exterior frame was black, interior was gray (not black like newer cases, back then the case internals were gray in colour)
>PSU on top (I think?)
>Front has a plastic door (like Fractal Design Define series) that covers the dvd bays
>Right under said cover there's a power button (sort of triangular)
> and on the two sides one of the best features - it had two of those huge-ass leds that looked like a pair of eyes.
if I recall they were glowing red, but I'm not really sure.
I've drawn a shitty reference from what I can remember in paint, I've been looking for this case for 5 years now, I really wanna find it again and build myself a rig in it cuz muh nostalgia. I don't expect this to be from a big brand, probably it was some chinese thing, but still it would be cool to find it again. It was a dope case
T-Thanks
Looks like a bad body pillow with nothing but pantsu and two dabs of A1 steak sauce to me anon, sorry I can't help you but that image is subpar.
>>55127175
3D Modeling a reference would only be unhelpful since I don't remember every detail of it
Nothing really much I can add to this
Thought this thread would be about something like this from the thumbnail.
I have this crap Iphone I never use, it still works perfectly fine though. It doesn't have calling service or anything though, but it still has a sim card inside. What should I do with it?
Don't want to destroy it or recycle it, and I don't feel like selling it, so I thought /g/ would have some cool ideas. Maybe flash a different os? idk
>pic related, it's it
Store it in your ass
>>55127158
this
getting a new screen for it will cost more than it's worth
>>55127182
yeah I figured
Does anyone here have an HTC 10? I'm thinking about picking one up. It seems to be stock android which is appealing, and there's already a CM13 ROM in the works.
I thought it wasn't out yet?
too expensive for a phone that is only a phone
It has a microsd slot so I think it's pretty cool.
