that's just not fair, I earn $576 a month and yet I still have to pay more for technology than some rich spoiled American brats

The economic policy of protectionism rarely works and is at fault for the high price of foreign goods in your country. Tax funded subsidies is far more effective for consumers.

My country too struggles with this in some cases, we pay $2.15 per litre of milk. Imported cheeses are so expensive that most people settle for locally produced stuff which has a flavour only slightly stronger than cream. I really miss the cheddar that was so cheap when I lived in Ireland.

Nvidia can OC to 2ghz, thats 40% faster than AMD

Clock speed isn't everything. Nvidia barely scales with oc. Also $800 1080 Fools Edition vs $250 rx 480
>>
>>55119596
Then get yourself a nice Preshot and OC it to 8Ghz

I'm sort of a fan of elementaryOS, but there's a few things that stop be from using it as my daily distro.

On one hand, I really love that they've basically nailed that unicorn of a situation where a distribution is super simple to use and seemingly locked down on the desktop, but then you pop open a terminal and you've got all of the power Linux can offer.

On the other hand, it's just not different enough to me for it to be it's own distro, and their release schedule (at least historically, this time they're going much faster) always just seems to be that the version based on the latest LTS release comes out a full year into the Ubuntu release. 12.04 comes out, a year later Luna comes out, a year later 14.04 comes out, a year later Freya comes out, a year later 16.04 comes out, now we just wait and see how long this beta takes to see how long this one will take.

I tried to use it in Luna, then again in Freya, but I always ended up wiping it when the latest Ubuntu LTS dropped, so I just went back to Ubuntu. These days my primary desktop and laptop run Fedora, but everything else runs Ubuntu LTS. I could see any laptops other than my main one running this, but the release schedule has to sync up a little better.

Why are manhours being wasted on 4chan shitposting? Shitposting will nevre be useful in the real world.

why are manhours wasted on desktop linux it won't ever be useful too
but bsd could -- osx as a sorta-example
>>
>>55119305
I have very little manhours with openbsd aside from the setup which is a bit annoying.

Not to say there isn't problems with it. I have to use C++17 features in the compiler for class and I can't do it on openbsd.

sheets with high thread counts and high quality silks.
>>
>>55119245
Generally the higher the thread count, the higher the quality of sheets. Then you have fabric variations as well. Egyptian cotton, brushed cotton, various other cottons, flannel, silk, satin. It really depends on what you think feels nice. Never a bad idea to grab a set of a couple kinds. Satin or silk is for the ladies to enjoy as you hammer fuck them.

Hope this helps.

What's your opinion on cloudbooks?

They're basically netbooks with some kind of small SSD.
They cost like $150, i think that for web browsing, watching youtube videos and taking notes at the college should be enough right?

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Cloudbook-11-Inch-AO1-131-C9PM-Personal/dp/B0149QDD1S/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466144482&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=cloudboox

i have essentially the same one you linked, not because it is particularly similar, but becuase theyre all the same p much

yeah its useful and i have a fairly powerful desktop for actually doing things but id really recommend the cheapest one you find

any extra features arent worth it cuz it really is just a more convenient mobile browser
>>
I have the X205TA. Great for browsing and streaming. Take it to classes. Battery life is superb and it was only $125 CAD.
>>
I'm effectively using one right now. Cost about $200, 13" (I used to have a smaller netbook and honestly it's just not good; 13 is a solid minimum), 2GB RAM and a 32GB SSD. I think that it's optimistic to expect Windows to run comfortably on it. Doing what I could to make that happen for about half a year, I finally gave in and put Linux on it. It runs like a dream and my battery life is right around the same 6 hours of web browsing and typing that I was getting before.

I'm happy. It's a fair bit better than the aforementioned netbook I used through college.

Why does AMD still exist?
