Just a noob(?) thing.
I turned my PC on and my external drive had the Virtual Clone icon on it. I found it strange and uninstalled VC. Then the icon turned into this.
Any help?

Anyone here interested in anonymous IRC and AnonIRCd servers? I know that IRCnet has an anonymous channel mode but the only English channel I'm aware of there has something like 10 active users. Couple of textboards host their own AnonIRCd servers as well but they're pretty small as well.
The largest anonymous IRC community I'm aware of is !kuvalauta and that's for Finns only. They have ~100 active users. Does anyone know of this kind of a community but for English speakers?

alright /g/, I've now used hololens
the fov sucks. it's a small rectangle in the center of your vision
placing holograms and then walking around them is rad. if you leave the room they'll be there when you return. I guess it maps your space as point cloud data or something
tapping on shit with your finger is stupid and never works, you need the little remote
it actually does run windows and its pretty weird. i opened youtube on my wall and watched some videos in edge.
tl;dr 5 years away from being real, i'd probably replace my work laptop with this since then I could sit anywhere and have giant hologram windows open all over my house

Can someone explain what exactly is Vulkan? At first, I thought it was a whole new next-generation graphics API like DX12. However, I have heard a few mention that it's not a full replacement for OpenGL.

I'm building a new PC for my gf and she needs a new GPU and this seems like the best bet. Is the card worth $300 for founders or is there anything better out there? I wasn't going to go AMD because the 390, GTX 970 (I own) only has 3.5GB of ram, and the 480 is garbage. WHen do you think we will see aftermarket 1060s?
