It's a trap
Nice try, FBI.
I'm looking at my brand new Skylake computer screen after having just upgraded to Windows 10 last night. I haven't done anything to it besides install my Asus drivers. It's currently a completely virgin Windows 10 installation.
I realize you can't make Windows 10 totally private. I'm dual booting Windows 10 (gaming), Linux (everything else). I bought Skylake because my old gaming PC was 8 years old and dying and it was time for it to be replaced, so I might as well install windows 10 on my new Skylake since I'm only using Windows for gaming and DirectX 12 requires Windows 10. Besides, Skylake and Windows 10 were made for each other.
I just want to make Windows 10 more private than it is in it's default state.
How do I make Windows 10 as private as possible after upgrading?
What IP addresses should I block in my router?
You can't block it. Only way is to go back to 7 or 8

Build rate thread?
Graphics card was going to be an RX 480, but I decided to hold off due to the power draw issues. Hopefully a non-reference model won't have the power draw problems.
Rate mine, post yours. I'm actually using mine right now even without a graphics card, but for web browsing and programming work, not gaming yet.

>32 GB
What the fuck are you planning to do with 32GB? Play two video games while editing 4k video on a VM? Why are you getting a board that supports OC memory and going with just 2400? Is it because buying 32GB of 3000 is too expensive?
>82 USD for 1TB drive
You can pick up 2TB for 50-60 if you look around.
>750W PSU
Are you going to have TRIPLE CROSSFIRE RX480's? What the hell do you need 750w for?
>RX480 power draw meme
You really think your OC GAYMEN BRAND board only supports PCIE 1.0 standards? It was literally only an issue on computers that costed less than the RX480 itself.
>Micro ATX board, overpriced mid ATX case
Is this a new meme?
>>55627801
>32Gb
Jealous?
>82 USD for 1TB drive
I don't need 2TBs
>750watt PSU
I also use my computer to power me neighbors refrigerator.
>RX480 power draw meme
I am probably going to do quad crossfire.
>Micro ATX board, overpriced mid ATX case
Yeah, its really neat. lel lel lel. top kek.

Just your daily reminder to secure your router and WiFi.
>Change the default administrator username and password of your router. Use a strong password consisting of random upper/lower case letters, numbers, special characters and spaces e.g. z1HG b$%FV6% *O9 !n. If you fear you'll never remember such a password, at least create a password consisting of spaces and upper/lower case characters e.g. Cal I Co Red

>Check your routers settings to see if ‘Allow Incoming ICMP Echo Requests" is enabled. If it is, then disable it. Keep in mind to turn this back on should you need ISP tech support so they can find your router for testing.
>
>Disable UPnP access. That is, of course, only disable it if you have no need to use UPnP. UPnP is a huge security risk. Some ISP’s actually hide this setting in their router, such as Verizon FiOS. If you're a FiOS subscriber and use their Actiontec router you have to access the UPnP setting from a separate URL, which is listed on this web page... http://tumblr.theanomaly.net/post/57676730768/verizon-fios-actiontec-hidden-upnp-and-igmp-menus

>Use WPA2 for your WiFi security encryption. Again, use a secure password for your WiFi.
>
>If your router offers Wi-FI Protected Setup (WPS) see if you can disable it, since that is also a known vulnerability. However, this feature may not have an option to disable depending on the router manufacture and model.
>
>If you use a router issued by your ISP, check it's settings from time to time to ensure any automatic firmware updates didn’t change your secure settings.
>
>Change your passwords from time to time, and check your routers log to ensure only known devices are attaching to your network.

>You can test some of your routers security, such as UPnP and open ports at https://www.grc.com/shieldsup
be safe
wtf is this babby shit if you seriously need a guide like this then you're completely retarded and should consider suicide

I'm looking for a powerbank with the most "power" so to say, the one which will charge the most things. My budget is anywhere from $0 - $120.
I am not tech savy at all, so this really helps.
Thanks!
Hey man, I don't much about what's the best but Best Buy Insignia has a 20,800 mAh that I use and it's great. Huge as fuck though

i don't get it
Hi /g/, please help a newbie with your wise advice
Is this a nice build?
Intel i5-6600K
GPU: NOT SURE. Maybe Radeon RX 480 8Gb
ASUS Z170-A
RAM Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz 2x8gb
1TB Western Digital Blue
Samsung 850 Evo 250gb
NOT SURE but I guess Evga 600w
Nzxt S340
Cooler Master Hyper 212x
gigabyte z170-hd3 is better for that build
z170-a is for i7 builds.
>>55626564
thank you
also bump
I would just get a 1TB ssd and not bother with a hdd at all, it amazing how much quieter your computer is without hdd. I find even a 500gb is enough if you keep media files on an external

Also, the linux compatibility layer on freebsd is a piece of shit. Better than nothing, but not by much.

Jesus christ OP, how much did you use??
OK /g/ I'm trying to start building my own gaming computer. But everything us getting confusing. I understand GPUs and power units, etc but the problem is that I can't decide which MOBO I need to buy. I know I want an E-ATX Mobo with an LGA 1151 but I want to make the right choice.
My future setup is
1xi7-6700k
1xGTX 1080 or 980 ti
1x Thermaltake Core X9 E-ATX chassis
Water cooling system
1000 watt power supply
But all that's left is the mobo. Recommendations?
I'd rather have advice from someone experienced then to fuck up as I try and build it.
>>55626444
