Fingerprinting is the newest way of tracking you across websites.
It's being done right now by companies like Google.
Because unlike cookie based tracking you can't defeat it just by disabling cookies.
In the Panopticlick study 83.6% of fingerprints were unique, even when JavaScript and/or Flash was disabled, and this is before canvas fingerprinting was invented.
There is currently NO FOOLPROOF DEFENCE against fingerprinting (except quitting the Internet).
Google's privacy policy states
>Other technologies are used for similar purposes as a cookie on other platforms where cookies are not available or applicable
https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/key-terms/#toc-terms-cookie
ReCAPTCHA probably still contains fingerprinting code:
https://archive.is/9K5gs
This means that the majority of 4chan users could be being fingerprinted, and Google might know about your shitposting habits even if cookies are disabled.
Google releases limited hangout of how much they know about you:
https://news.slashdot.org/story/16/06/29/2038257/googles-my-activity-reveals-how-much-it-knows-about-you
Daily reminder to do all your Amazon / eBay / LinkedIn / botnet shit in a completely separate browser to your Googling or buying shit.
It's currently the ONLY way to truly defend against fingerprint tracking.
Double points if you have each browser running in a different VM with a different OS.
Triple if you have each browser's VM configured with a different VPN connection.
Could the FP-Block browser extension be what we're looking for?
http://satoss.uni.lu/software/fp-block/
Adds randomness to canvases, generates random HTTP headers, randomises timezone, etc.
Bggy, and it doesn't seem to play well with other extensions, but very promising.
If only it was under active development.
Another extension you may want to check out:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/canvasblocker
You forgot
>quadruple points if you have one computer for personal things using your home connection and one for shitposting using an anonymously purchased VPN connection
Fingerprinting is irrelevant once the data can no longer be associated with your physical location. Use a VPN.
is 2 monitors a meme?
a monitor is like 300 dollars. are you really that poor
Depends on what you're doing.

I cant afford a fanless gaming pc but I'll just dream on. I believe fanless computers are the future. The only sound I like is the one coming out of my speakers. Also I think fan noise has a bad influence on my psychological state. Feel free to post anything about fanless pc's, tell me it's not cost efficient, that you like noise, etc. It's not a fucking fridge. Also i think it's a conspiracy that they make computer cases which look so much different than fridges. If pc cases are supposed to be cool inside they could just contain all the isolation material but they dont. All air cooled computers are noisy pieces of shit. All that r&d and they still dont eliminate fan noise. because they dont care about your experience. they want you to be depressed by constant stupid noise you have inside your home, being annoyed as fuck and playing games to be able to ignore it.

What's the best thermal paste? Does the cheap shit do as good of a job as the expensive stuff?
The best bang for your buck thermal paste is mayonnaise.
I'm not even joking.

Why? Why do they have to do this? Why can't they just focus on churning out better products? Why must companies have their own political views?

WHERE WERE YOU WHEN GOOGLE DROPPED A FAT RED PILL
just needs some blushing or something
Can someone tell me what the fuck this is?
I tried searching for something and this popped up.
Yeah I've gotten that sometimes, thought it was some adware but couldn't find anything. Went away after a couple of hours. I share this wifi signal with a bunch of other unknowns so who knows what kind of shady shit they could be pulling.

Whats the point of other web browsers when everything becoming chrome clone nowadays?
Even Firefox is becoming part of Chrome family, since they are planning to move to chrome extensions.
The botnet is taking over
Is that true? Chrome extensions are horseshit.

What's the point of anime?
It's all just a clone of some other anime with slightly different art styles. Why even watch anime anymore
Can we talk monitors for a sec please?
7 months ago I picked up a 24gm77 from fries 144hz 1ms for about 265$ before tax. Last week while moving someone slammed their brakes and my screen cracked. Fries are Jews and don't cover physical damage with the warranty neither does LG.
So now I see the aoc 144 1ms on sale for 200$ right now on amazon. I kinda wanted to buy from bestbuy because I actually trust their warranties to be full coverage but their stock is limited unless I went with the Acer 27 1440 freesync. But for 400$ do I really want a tn panel?
So the real question is do I shell out 500-600$ for a 1440 ips 120-144hz freesync monitor or get the aoc and wait for technology to improve? My old LG is also on sale for 250 right now free shipping no taxes.
I don't really play any taxing games that would drop me too far below 100 fps so freesync isn't 100% required but still nice to have for the future.
So budget tn 1080p 24inch 144hz 1ms freesync for 200$ and wait a year or two vs 600$ 27 inch ips freesync 1440p... Or something else entirely.

The AOC has 1 ms response time, but 28 ms input lag. Look it up.
>AOC
Never ever.
Also the 144Hz IPS monitors look like total shit color wise, it's just a marketing ploy to bait the goyim into dropping a few more shekels.
>>55623468
Why not just buy a Korean 28" 4k monitor for $250?
And freesync adds sone of latency.
And the colors of IPS are much more worth it than the latency of tn.
Home screen thread. I appreciate positive and negative feedback. At least let me know what looks bad to you so I can improve it

What do you think of my home screen?

I think the wallpaper is nice but it is too cluttered and it isn't very minimalistic
3/10 reduce clutter and get better widget then maybe 7 or 8 out of 10
Is it possible to get rid of the Internet anymore?
I don't mean just blocking access to it, I mean removing all possible ways of accessing it for the whole human race? What would you need to do? How many people would you need? I'm guessing that you'd need nothing short of a nuclear war if you wanted to destroy the Internet, and even then you'd be left with pockets of 'resistance' with a couple of connected computers.
Removing electricity would destroy Internet for sure, yes, but that isn't feasible. I'd like you to figure out a way how to return the world to the 60's or 70's by disconnecting everyone and everything from the web. How?
>>55623375
