when Win 10 was new, you could just do Insider Builds and you would essentially have a permanent beta that never expires (aka, free Win 10)
Is it still like that? I want to buy a $50 Win 10 compatible netbook
>>57446443
Install gentoo
Doesn't it cost like 10 bucks?
>>57446560
I thought Win 10 was $100
Holy shit, i have to reset my pc all the time and reinstall everything again because of it, some days ago the search on the taskbar stopped working, and today the start menu stopped working, without me even restarting the pc or anything, it was just working, and when i clicked it again it wasn't
holy fuck i'm so pissed, I'm downloading the anniversary update or whatever but i doubt it will work, i will have to reinstall this shit again, the worst of all is that i'm so used to it I don't want to just install something else. I'm thinking about going back to 8.1.
>>57445939
works fine for me
This happened to me on my ONE(1) windows 10 machine, probably going to install linux on it, just like all my other computers. Its not an uncommon problem at all, see it at work all the time.
>>57445939
>he fell for the wangblows 10 meme
hey /g/ units
recently got a replacement charger from the chinks for my mini pc that's been sitting around for eons.
It's currently running win7 but I want to do a fresh install of Linux so it runs a bit betterer.
I'm thinking of loading xubuntu, but I've used it before and I'm feeling adventurous.
What's the best linux distro for a piece of shit portable/backup PC? inb4 gentoo
I'd just use Lubuntu.

>>57445497
Got the same thing OP but I got the 3200mhz ram instead. Shit is cash bro you good.
Seems fine. Personally prefer GSkill over corsair at that price point.
>>57445525
Does the 200MHz make a difference or should I not spend the extra 10 or so dollars?
Just upgraded from 15/15 to 50/50. Feels good.
Paying $56/month for 120 mbps down and 20 mbps up

Is your TV not level or is it the angle? This would drive me crazy.
Looks like this is running a fire TV you cuck. And the TV is on a fully articulate mount. All acceptable.
Why is 4chan so shit and slow now?
Images will sometimes take 10+ seconds to even begin to load once clicked, and even once cached and clicked again, it STILL takes ages - I'm smelling a rat here.
Is the new admin doing this on purpose?
>>57444812

Why does a Windows10 Laptop, with better specs, get BTFO by a MacBook Pro with lesser specs??
https://youtu.be/NWp9k2lydtk?t=29
>>57444690
Because Windows 10 has to have more processes and programs running in the background for the sake of backwards compatibility. Not to mention it also does every task twice simultaneously and discards whichever one finishes first.
>>57444722
Sooo, Windows is a shistrom of crapptasckery. Got it!

I'm a programmer but I'm not very good at maths. My solid foundation is maybe middle school level and then patchy highschool level (I switched schools a lot, leaving gaps).
What's the best way to add to my shitty maths skills?

?
Could you please not shitpost?
this is most likely very basic knowledge, but i don't know it. could anybody help me out?
1st is connected with fragmentation and the head going left and right seeking for empty space to put the file in.
2nd is also fragmentation related
3rd is also fragmentation related, but fragmentation doesn't affect SSD because random read is as fast as sequential (unlike on disks, when you hear the clicking noise)
>>57444043
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_system_fragmentation
disk drives work best with sequential writes, writing a large file on a disk without much space would probably require splitting it up and writing small chunks of it in various places i.e. not one long sequential write
