What the fuck is this shit
Redpill me on Linux Mint /g/. I need to put an OS on a new laptop, why should I choose Linux Mint over say Ubuntu or Debian?
Cinnamon is gay (Linux Mint's default DE)
KDE is basically everything Cinnamon is, but better. Get Debian Stretch and choose KDE during installation
is this the new desktop thread?
install macOS in my imo
>>57445013
Mate, which isn't quite Mint, installs easier than windows.

>staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before, though most claims of being staff are false
>staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers
>sneaky bastards will try to convince you that cheating can be evaded. It can't and you will be banned and everyone will laugh at you
>people claim to report emails and other personal info posted here to staff to get you banned
>most of the invite offers here are people trolling you with false hope - begging for invites is a waste of time

kys OP
cara pls cara pls
Anon why are you using seedbox when you could be seeding my box?
There's sadly no quick/dumb questions thread so i'm asking like this.
Do home NAS like this for example
https://www.amazon.com/Synology-DS216j-NAS-DiskStation/dp/B01BNPT1EG/
check for piracy?
Like, may it be that when i have a downloaded movie on there and i want to stream it/watch it on my TV that it'll not work or something?
They already have bitorrent clients built in, dont they?
Im thinking of buying a Qnap myself.
>>57443432
I'm asking because it happened to me once that a sony bravio wouldn't play a downloaded MKV file that i had on a usb stick connected to the router and when i searched, i found something about piracy so i wonder if it's the same with NAS.
>>57443407
What? Arent most of them basically a HD array and a network card?

Mimi
Works fine for me.
Version 2.1.3
I've tried every app and I still prefer just using Lightning browser
Redpill me on Thinkpads, /g/.
They cost fucking nothing for the specs you get.
They're durable.
They're extremely user serviceable
Older ones can be used as weapons
Pick up a T410 for like 100$ and you have a pretty standard shitpost machine
Grab a T42 for 40$ and you have an extremely weak shitposting machine, but one that can be used to kill family members and/or muggers
>>57436690
Nice W701.
>>57436792
er, W700
What does /g/ think of the surface 4?

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13" Review
Pics: http://imgur.com/a/gruNc
It's a very fast unit.
Keyboard and trackpad work well -- trackpad multitouch works almost as well as Apple's.
13" is roughly as thin as my 12" retina MacBook but is a little thicker; footprint is bigger because 13" vs 12".
Display quality is 9/10 - would prefer higher resolution but it's fine as is. Colors are rich, no major wash out seen so far. One word: vibrant.
Pretty killer computer.
Overall, 10/10 happy. For $900, I think this kicks the shit out of your thinkpads, competes with Apple with regard to hardware, and is a solid buy.
> trackpad multitouch works almost as well as Apple's
Lel. It's shit.
>>57433326
Nah. It's really solid, actually. Probably the best windows trackpad I've used.
Apple's is still superior, but this is a good second.
It's only just arrived, so I'm not sure about Linux yet; plan is to install Linux next and test further.

i work in a datacenter and spend several hours/day next to rather loud equipment. i need something wireless as cables get in the way (so bluetooth) and closed (because noise). ability to control music (play/pause, next/previous) and take calls with them is kinda must have.
