There's sadly no quick/dumb questions thread so i'm asking like this.

Do home NAS like this for example
https://www.amazon.com/Synology-DS216j-NAS-DiskStation/dp/B01BNPT1EG/
check for piracy?

Like, may it be that when i have a downloaded movie on there and i want to stream it/watch it on my TV that it'll not work or something?

They already have bitorrent clients built in, dont they?

Im thinking of buying a Qnap myself.
>>
>>57443432
I'm asking because it happened to me once that a sony bravio wouldn't play a downloaded MKV file that i had on a usb stick connected to the router and when i searched, i found something about piracy so i wonder if it's the same with NAS.

They cost fucking nothing for the specs you get.
They're durable.
They're extremely user serviceable
Older ones can be used as weapons

Pick up a T410 for like 100$ and you have a pretty standard shitpost machine

Grab a T42 for 40$ and you have an extremely weak shitposting machine, but one that can be used to kill family members and/or muggers

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13" Review

Pics: http://imgur.com/a/gruNc

It's a very fast unit.

Keyboard and trackpad work well -- trackpad multitouch works almost as well as Apple's.

13" is roughly as thin as my 12" retina MacBook but is a little thicker; footprint is bigger because 13" vs 12".

Display quality is 9/10 - would prefer higher resolution but it's fine as is. Colors are rich, no major wash out seen so far. One word: vibrant.

Pretty killer computer.
Overall, 10/10 happy. For $900, I think this kicks the shit out of your thinkpads, competes with Apple with regard to hardware, and is a solid buy.

Lel. It's shit.
>>
>>57433326
Nah. It's really solid, actually. Probably the best windows trackpad I've used.

Apple's is still superior, but this is a good second.

It's only just arrived, so I'm not sure about Linux yet; plan is to install Linux next and test further.
