How can /g/ even defend AMD CPUs at this point?
the FX series was a good buy like 4 years ago.
makes no sense now.
a fucking 8 core is defeated by a dual core.
No-one defends AMD CPUs.

How do I search for a bugging device myself?
This is in a very, very small office/boardroom setting. It's more of a face to face meeting place so the phoneline isn't something I'm concerned about. I doubt there's a camera, probably just audio.
Any tips on how or where I should be looking?
it's a complicated process, but bugs tend to transmit which means radio signals. if you can scan for and detect radio signals then you should be able to pinpoint bugs. software defined radio can help do this on the cheap. you might want to go to a private investigator or professional service and ask for suggestions on which bug scanner to buy.

Whats your excuse for not using the best GNU/Linux media player?
it's clemintine , plebs,
>>57437366
SMPlayer can play both audio and video, so it's better.
Clem is all right but I don't know what's wrong with just using mpv, throw a folder at it and bang, music.

What are your experiences with VPNs?
Which are the best?
>>57437320
I've used PIA for a while, they're alright. Speed isn't great but I don't get any DMCA shit anymore.
Though to be honest I haven't pirated that much lately, really only switch it on when I need to grab some obscure anime or something, things that probably wouldn't trip DMCA detectors anyways.

> "Hi anon what do you do?"
> "I study computer science"
> "Oh that's cool, maybe you can help me fix my computer, it's soooo slow!"
> "uhh"
Now we've all had this experience before but let's say you actually want to help the poor guy out, what can you actually do a part from a defrag and clean some shit up with ccleaner?
>>57436978
You can help him out by telling him to fuck off to a computer repair service or telling him to cough up the cash.
>>57436978
assuming it's a windows computer, you go to msconfig and stop 1,000,000 programs from automatically starting at boot. That's basically the first thing I do when 'fixing' my friends computers
Why do people design programs to automatically start on boot? It makes sense for some programs, but almost everything you install on Windows is like, "me me me start me always on in the system tray me me me"
sheesh
>>57436978
MalwareBytes.
Don't forget to tell him or her to give you money or to gtfo

True, but it's still Arch and therefore shit. Less shit than Manjaro, but shit.
>>57437151
Yeah I was sure it happened more than once.
Manjaro faggits should pic related or use trips so they can be filtered from the community like Jews in 1940.
