Seems fine to me OP, specially the price. Plus if you are upgrading the ram and all that it seems ok. I've heard 4K looks majestic AF but of course battery life suffers a bit. Why do you think you fucked up? I woul've got a 512gb ssd instead but that's me. Also been looking to cop it.

It's not the 4k model though, don't really feel a need for that, plus it costs a lot extra, which I can't afford. 8gb ram is fine for it'll be used for. I like having both ssd and hdd space, best of both worlds.

I don't think I fucked up, but getting another persons view is nice, especially when i'll be told to install gentoo on it

I agree, it just seems that if you had a bad relation with your ISP, they will be more than likely to use this against you. Wonder how this home cloud is taken in other countries too. If it's considered hosting a website, and if an ISP has an automated notification system for small things like this.

Im sure If you were a video editor using terabytes a week running off a unit like in the picture, that your ISP might give you a call and see whats going on...
