What mousepad are you using? Do you have several? Which do you recommend? Also it's worth mentioning what mouse you use; how does your combination preform for you? Do you prefer high or low DPI?
------------------------------------------------------
I am most interested in a hard pad surface because I'm getting a Logitech G502 and at the moment I plan on using it at 12K DPI; all DPI are native to the G502.
( I haven't used the mouse so I don't know if I will stick to 12K; but I use 1600 now and I like the smoothness/placebo. )
At 12K DPI (or any) I do not want any unnecessary data from a cloth or oddly textured surface. With the G502's weight a smoother surface will be preferable too. I would like to avoid Aluminum pads. I want the most durable hard surface there is.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EplLoJFyTL0 - High DPI + Low sensitivity = More responsive aim.
------------------------------------------------------
From my research it appears that some of the most highly regarded Hard surfaces are in terms of popularity are the...
1. Steel Series 4-9HD pads - I've seen people talk about how the designs on the surface of these cause tracking issues.
2. Logitech G440 - I've seen people say these wear very quickly.
3. Corsair Gaming MM400 - I haven't seen any complains about these.
4. Razer Destructor 2 - I have also seen complaints about very quick wear.
------------------------------------------------------
In terms of the personal reviews people have left, with the least negative reviews...
1. Func 1030L - Discontinued, very rarely sold, very expensive now.
2. Func 1030 Revision 2 XL - Also Discontinued, also very expensive.
3. Corsair Gaming MM400
4. Icemat v1 or v2 - Discontinued, I haven't found any online.
5. Mionix Propus 380 - Has silver flakes in the surface plastic for reflection. I've seen mixed reviews.
------------------------------------------------------
I'm very interested in what you use and what you prefer. Thank you.
I ordered a ducky secret RGB and it came with a free flipper mousepad. I've never had one of those giant meme mats before. What am I in for?

I love Ducky. I use a Zero Shine Keyboard.
I'd expect it to be well made. The texture looks fine. The advantage of long mats is that you don't have to worry about running off it horizontally. As far as I can tell the only advantage of having your keyboard on it is that maybe it'll be more comfortable for your hands.
>>57535613
I use a K70 so the mat will pretty much be covered by the sturdy wrist-rest of the keyboard.
Thats good to know, I'm excited because I finally found a good mouse with a non retarded shape, simple layout, and NO gaymen software bullshit.
I'm sick of Firefox. It's slow, it's clunky, and they fired EICH for soc-juster reasons.
I need a new browser.
Two prerequisites:
* It must be blazingly fast
* It must not be a botnet.
What is the greatest browser?
ungoogled chrome / chropera
Chromium. Its the open source version of chrome without telemetry or google's botnet features
>>57535203
>What is the greatest browser?
Still Firefox.
All else is botnet.
Rate, hate, suggest upgrades.
I think this is as far as I can really go with this Elitebook. Still running strong and it feels like a fully modern PC. I just got done reapplying some thermal paste to the CPU and GPU, I was getting CPU temps up around 75C under light load, that was no bueno. It hasn't broken 49C since reapplying the paste, feels good man.

Why aren't there any good open-source video games?
I've heard that Notch initially planned to make Minecraft open source, but then he sold out to Microsoft.
The reason Minecraft became popular was because it was developed using mostly free software which made it cross platform and easy for the community to modify and interact with.
That being said, the question remains, why are there no free/libre video games?
Try harder, troll.

How are you protecting your USB ports /g/ against these killers? Must be a nightmare for schools.
I own a macboob
>>57534747
I'm not? Destruction of property is illegal.
By not plugging random USB drives I found on the street into them.

You get raided / clean up the CP?
>>57534741
There was never any CP to my knowledge, only prank folders called CP that didn't contain CP, which is not illegal and thus has no reason to go. If you know of any actual CP I'll clean it up.

What are you working on, /g/?
Can someone explain dot products to me?
Someone suggested a math-heavy website to learn some linear alg and I didn't get any of it.
First for PHP compiled to Java

fuck all of you faggots
I remember someone on /g/ had posted a tutorial series on disassembler.
There was a binary you could download and a step-by-step guide on what to look for after disassembling it to understand what the binary does.
Has anybody saved the link?
>>57534323
I don't know about the other thread, but tuts4you dot com has pretty good reverse engineering resources.
Either their name was "reverse" or "reverse" was in their trip code. Use that to find the posts on archive.

>>57534209
Is this a computer?
wow that looks like a marginally better version of an apple product.
are we going to see a long, drawn out trial followed by a bunch of autistic people showing how black cylinders invalidate a bunch of design patents as prior art?
ATTENTION: anyone that uses a Chinese smartphone, immediately disconnect your phone, factory reset, and sell your phone.
Chinese companies have been found to have secretly installed backdoors on Chinese-made smartphones that secretly sends back data including phone number, location, all text messages and calls, apps, contents of phone, etc.
Companies found (so far) to have secretly spied on users: Huawei, ZTE, and BLU.

I prefer chinese botnet over american botnet any day
So who's buying the OP3T?
>>57533387
Still got the OP3, not worth the upgrade.
>>57533412
Right, completely understandable.
On the other hand, I, due to being hesitant to pull the trigger on my Pixel pre-order, now have the chance pick up a brand-new non-meme phone for a fraction of the price, so I'm feeling good.
>>57533387
Is the only difference a bigger battery and a slight speed bump on the CPU?
